Yeah, the friendship didn't last because she couldn't respect boundaries and tried to talk her way out of having to with therapy speak.

It very much was like talking to a living manifestation of the most toxic instincts of Tumblr. Unfortunately she was like, 37.
I have a few different types of national and regional cultures in my near family history so I am gonna stick with just America in general: bologna is disgusting. That we feed it to children is unconscionable. Frying it is a war crime.
I remember the accidental tumble down the stairs that made me bisexual. People just don't understand the real risks of injury.
I think something that looks like what we would consider an alien had been found at some point and is being kept in some jar somewhere. What it actually is, who knows, but yeah.
This reminds me of the former friend who told me that she felt unsafe around me because I lost weight on purpose & that meant I was fatphobic & a danger to her & then asked me to put a trigger warning on pics of people who aren't fat. Yes, really.
I can sleep with a sense of satisfaction tonight because I just spent 45 minutes googling & listening to random songs until I could find the beat stuck in my head all day for whatever reason.
"P. I. M. P." by 50 Cent by the way.

We need to stop them immediately
A brown bunny lies flat on a soft pink blanket. A TV in the background displays a sports scene.
Thanks, same to you. It's tough because like, I am glad they don't want me to go to hell, and... You know... Same to them. & one of us is excusing some very vile shit in the name of forcing their way to heaven π sooooooo sigh.
It makes the point explicit, which is the value of such symbolism, but this action is in fact far less outrageous violence than the IOFβs daily sins against the Imago Dei in every Palestinian and Lebanese they rape, torture, and martyr.
A big source of friction in my life with certain Christians in my family/etc is I do not believe the rapture is real or Biblical & they live their lives in constant anticipation (anxiety) of it to the point it makes them act very unchristlike in a bid to force him back.
Her method doesn't work for some people (the piles thing can trigger task avoidance/meltdowns in some with ADHD/autism etc) but nothing that poor woman said was outrageous or mean. It was very gentle & reasonable advice for many people.
watching evangelical media is so funny because like i'm watching one of those rapture movies where the plot is that Iran has closed the strait of hormuz and this will somehow lead to the rapture
Leipzig wildlife. These are called βbeaver ratsβ and they are canonically buddhist

"Vaping is bad for you," oh really? I had no idea.*
*I am well aware the only thing you are supposed to put into your lungs is clean air. It's almost as if there is a psychological component to smoking or something.
I never want to be a killjoy so I won't get in the way of people dancing in the streets when he drops dead but I think one reason everyone is so thirsty for it is we tacitly understand that to be the only consequence he'll ever face. Which sucks! There should be way more consequences
Soaking empty Trader Joe's spice jars in soapy water so I can scratch off the lables and reuse the jars for sprinkles and glitter. Also decorating toploaders and making hair clips. Finally, craft time.
I became Episcopalian *specifically* because I disagree with some very important positions of the RCC & I personally couldn't worship in a space with such deep disagreements but I also don't hate Catholics & can admit when the Pope is correct. Give people some credit.
Y'all read so much into things. Sharing things about the Pope arguing (correctly) against fascists isn't "stanning the Pope" it's religious nerds enjoying a public religious moment being less than as shitty as possible for once, relax. No one is gonna convert. We aren't unaware of the RCC.
if we want the vibecession to end perhaps we should be focused primarily on reducing the grinding existential dread of the future that even many objectively comfortable and highly-paid people seem to be feeling nowadays - and yeah, i do think there are practical things one could do to improve this.
Unsurprising. Still deplorable.
π yes! Very happy to be trending *away* from a future need for liver transplant in my old age. & I didn't even have to stop drinking my lil wine with my cheese, lol.
Katharine Hepburn on stage (as Antiope), and Colin Keith-Johnston (as Theseus) 1932.
I don't think it's helpful to tell people "the economy is actually good" because no one cares if the general economy is "fine" if their personal finances are stressful. I mean I don't see why that's hard to understand. It's a survival related issue so high emotions. Duh? Obviously?
Great news from a doctor for once: my liver blood levels have actually gotten better! I get my annual scan in a few weeks to make sure there is still no evidence of scarring and then I don't have to see my gastro for a year!
people really don't like it when the rich and powerful tell them that their expectations for the future should be permanently and drastically lowered, is another way of putting this
