I finished The Beast Compendium of Stretland by Chelsea Starling last night. Really cute little cozy fantasy about a noblewoman studying a magical forest before she is stuck in an arranged marriage. It's on KU and if you're looking for something shorter and sweeter, I recommend it #cozyfantasy

The middle sucks because I become hyper aware of stories essentially being distillable to "then this happened then that happened" and once that illusion is broken everything starts to sound blah to me

I've never watched Breaking Bad, but I've gathered enough to say that I think that hating Skyler is a red flag the same way I view the over the top hate for characters like Rey, She-Hulk, The Thirteenth Doctor, Korra, and basically every other female character in a popular fandom is a red flag.

"O'Neill, with 2 L's", is my favorite joke reference in the show about the wildly different portrayals.

I was deep deep in the Redwall trenches starting in 4th grade thanks to finding a random copy of Salamandastron in some back corner of my school library.
