~20% of adults experience an affective disorder (e.g. depression, bipolar disorder) in their lifetime. Symptoms often occur in phases, with months to years in between and chronic negative effects on a person’s well-being. Still, it is not well understood what provokes, improves, or worsens them. 📈📉❓
