Cartoon showing Jeff Bezos walking into the office of the Washington Post, followed by two servants pushing wheelbarrows filled with money. The slogan 'Democracy Dies in Darkness' lies discarded on the ground, while a new slogan 'Whatever You Say, Mr. Bezos' is being installed above the door. A cartoonist labeled 'Ann Telnaes' walks out through a side door with a sign on it that reads 'Critical cartoonists and journalists - exit here'.

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

I’m scarcely a great fan of Starmer, but these papers are now ranting about him to the extent it’s becoming nasty, obsessive and damaging to our national interests, if not also our way of life and values.

A Copenhagen light rail train that allows bikes on board, supporting multi-modal trips.

Typical arguments about whether cars or public transit or bikes are always better for a specific kind of trip, or a specific kind of day, are usually the wrong debate. Smart cities give choices & make multimodal trips, or days, or weeks, attractive. They support multi-modal citizens who can choose.

It sounds kind of obvious but the fact that a company with such incredible electricity hunger isn't disclosing basic information about its energy consumption and associated emissions is v bad..

Massive car-dependent freeway interchange

Massive car-dependent freeway interchange

Never forget, car dependency isn’t freedom.

Some might ask “what’s more free than cars?”

Choices.

Choices are more free than car dependency.

It’s not a hard concept.

I’m not pitting cars against any other single mode of transport.

I’m rejecting design that creates dependency on just one mode.

Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed.

The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.
