Thor's no good very bad day in Ragnarok was fun and I thought Infinity War managed to strike the balance, but by 4, I dunno man, I like HemsThor and he has good comedic timing but he's too good at comedy and they use it as a crutch.

Thanks, I hate it.

The best candidate is the one who's election risks allowing Pillen to make my friends lives worse if Dems don't pick up a seat or two elsewhere.

(unless they're being ridden, but that's not the horses fault)

Ideally yes, sometimes you can't, and the dirty little secret of almost every animal is they're little cowards who will do anything they can to avoid an actual fight and just holding your ground can get you far.

I've been kicked and bit, but never had one run me down, they all stopped short.

I agree, I'm just at the point where a single vote could make or break it in the statehouse in things that impact my friends and family, but if the Dems blow November so hard ne-02 is the make it break vote, we're already fucked, lol.

I'll still vote for whoever wins the primary come Nov, though.

Don't know who I will vote for since none of the rest impress me, but the damage that can be done if Dems lose another seat in the statehouse far outweighs any of my concerns in Washington.

Pick the best candidate that aligns with your concerns. I'm not gonna tell anyone how to vote, but I don't plan to vote for him in the primary which sucks because I like him.

He's easily the best candidate, hence my frustration. Really rush he'd resigned so we got a special election.

*Whap* usually works pretty well. I think it's a legacy from spending time on my grandparents farm, horses and cows were much larger and now I'm used to them so a lil goose doesn't feel so threatening?

I'm so sad for that man. What do you mean you don't have any paternal instinct when your friends or cousins bring their kids around? That's like, one of the coolest things ever?

I'll die mad about that game, Suh deserved the Heisman that year, too.

I "just took a nap" waiting for my connection in Dublin because I was too early to get through the gate. I woke *just* in time to board and the lovely French lady got me a security fast pass and I made my flight right as the gate closed. Miracles undersells it.

Many people don't get assigned a seat until basically day-of, which is when they also suggest trying to find people willing to reschedule.

All of my grandparents came out noticably less healthy and my uncle who had a stroke in late 2019 had basically lost the ability to speak because of the isolation. I remember seeing him again and realizing oh shit, we need to get his paperwork in order ASAP because he certainly can't anymore.

I am positive I know the names of several of them, but could not identify their pictures to save my life and I think I'm ok with that.

They're also just not great compared to traditional construction and the business model they support is pretty terrible.

People fall behind on the rent for the land and think they can move the house, because it's a "mobile" home, and oops the house is no longer in any shape to move.

A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

If we're gonna try and bring back feudalism, the least they can do is give me a good Pope Fight.

Yeah I ain't seeing that again in theaters. It's not that good of a movie outside the very specific context of "the climax of a decade of movies" and I've had that catharsis, thanks.

Yeah, a good swift kick, especially with any sort of footwear, is honestly enough to deal with almost every animal smaller than us, primates being an obvious exception because they're just a smaller, stronger us.

I think we'll see a return of kit-homes before we see factory built homes.

It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.

To be clear I would also run if a goose decided to attack, I'm just taking the premise of the poll at face value and I'm pretty confident I could fight a goose with my bare hands and win, lol

They are aggressive, but it's a survival thing. They look real big and can make most things decide to eat something else.

But yes, people have no idea how to scale human strength, which is actually pretty high(!) against animals.

The people who think they'd lose to a goose always amuse me. One good kick and you've probably liked the goose by breaking some bones, birds are brittle!

Yeah, I'm of the opinion anything not off a river and past Lincoln is in for a real rough time in the next 20-30 years.

Was trying to make it less Nebraska-specific, but yeah pretty much. I'd honestly argue for Lincoln/Grand Island, GI has the water for more people but *need* to irritate to grow anything even right off the Platte. Past Lincoln, it's either/or for "major population center" or major AG hub.

You can basically see the line on Google Maps, it's where things stop being green and start looking brown and average population basically dives off a cliff past it.

Maybe down in Texas, where there's also oil to make living out there worth it? I can imagine the scrubland around Midlands burning.
