This image shows a person sitting on a bench seat inside a train or subway car, holding a large, fluffy dog on their lap. The dog has a thick, light gray to tan coat with a darker face, and its tongue is hanging out as it appears happily panting. The person is wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. The dog's leash is visible, and the person's hand is gently holding it. The window by their side lets in natural light, and blurred passengers can be seen seated further along the train.
Has science gone too far?

If fish stocks in the region could be affected by “electromagnetic fields” from underwater cables, they could also clearly be affected by “electromagnetic fields” from fishing boats. We should start with a total fishing ban in these regions for a couple centuries to sort that out.
My first car was a 1970 Ford Galaxy 500. I've lived in apartments smaller than that car.

Every time this tailor posts a photo of their workspace, it looks like their dog is a tailor and he's showing off the garments he made.

If you haven't been to Billy Bishop Airport or don't spend time on that section of the waterfront, you might not realize that thousands of people live 500 metres or so from the runway. Here's what expanding it could mean to them:

A black and white photo taken in a darkened hockey arena with the goal at one end spotlighted. A referee at right leans forward as the Habs' goalie sits on the ice with the puck lodged behind him in the goal, and player Bill Barilko, who just scored, crouched low to the ice next to him. Other players surround them in a variety of action poses. Globe and Mail Fonds 1266, Item 143210.
#OnThisDay 75 years ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup with an overtime goal. It was a different time, what can we say?

I just keep thinking about this. Ford loves to pound people to shit and strut across their political bodies. All the name calling. The Lefties. Socialists. Cyclists. Gravy eaters.
But he whines like a high maintenance nepo when something doesn't go his way.

An injection every 6 months can effectively prevent HIV infection.
Wonderful to see the scale-up and expanded rollout of lenacapavir in regions most impacted by HIV, where it can make the greatest difference.

Most people don't understand running.
It's why a non-runner will be more impressed by someone who jogged a 4 hour marathon than a kid who ran a 14 minute 5k

Except they are filling their zoo by kidnapping wild sloths from rainforests in Guyana. They have taken 69 sloths & more than 31 are already dead.

I'm not impressed by the "I did this marathon on no training" folks.
To me, that sends an opposite signal:
1. You self-sabotaged so you had an out handy. You didn't risk seeing what you could do.
2. The prep is the meaningful part. You didn't have the discipline to do it.
