Spatial Mapping of Hydrogen in Coatings for Fusion using Atom Probe Tomography to Inform Modelling of Tritium Trapping (Materials Strand project) - Fusion CDT Doctoral Training in fusion-relevant disciplines: materials science, plasma physics, nuclear physics, technology, laser physics, instrumentation and related topics

A new D.Phil opportunity in our group in partnership with UKAEA: examining ceramic coatings to contain tritium in future fusion reactors. This will involve analysis of a range of ceramics developed at UKAEA, and is a chance to work at the frontier of fusion reactor development.
