33. KAIBA
had no idea this was by masaaki yuasa until over halfway through when i checked the production credits! a beautifully incomprehensible show about love and memory that i struggle to describe succinctly- if at all. just sit down with someone you care about and experience it together.

32. SMILING FRIENDS (final two episodes)
liked the extra touches of reverence that were added, and the landlord reveal was genuinely hilarious, but otherwise- these final episodes were just alright. hope the animators who lost their jobs find more good work!
30 & 31. MOB PSYCHO 100 (season 2) & MOB PSYCHO 100 (season 3)
no smarmy shounen study comment. bawled my eyes out like six times. really needed to see this series again right now. truly this was our mob psycho 100.
28 & 29. CHAINSAW MAN (season 1) and MOB PSYCHO 100 (season 1)
restudying some shounen. i'm in shounen cram school. i'm making sure i retain the shounen information.
27. PIZZA MOVIE
if you go in with literally no expectations and don't mind the first ten minutes feeling like an overlong smosh sketch, pizza movie becomes, for lack of a better term, a fun trip. great screw the audience jokes, bouncy dialogue and hilariously stupid bullshit throughout. pizza time.
26. THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE
RUBATO. Out now on PC & Console.

25. READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME
an on par escalation! the comedy did make the commentary trend towards being surface level, and grace and faith's relationship could have been explored better during a stop-start middle, but the films best moments (especially in the third act) surpass the original.
24. CHAINSAW MAN
it's over. thank you, chainsaw man.

x the everything app as well for those of you who still enjoy a side of musk in their day
i've also decided to start using a casual account because i associate this one too much with "business" for comfort these days. feel free to follow it if you want!
beyond disenfranchised, i'm also still working on chordioid with @chording.it and recently revived a fun side-project i started with @spritersblock.bsky.social a few years ago as well. looking forward to showing more off from those in the future!
there's still a couple things i've done for vast error that might be put out! i did some writing for an upcoming update, and wrote nearly 400 FRAF forum username easter eggs because i'm insane. releasing anything i planned or made other than that is up to DCRC tho.
23. ONE PIECE LIVE-ACTION: SEASON 2
an improvement over season 1 on most fronts, but nowhere near enough. i respect all the passionate effort the crew put into completing a downright impossible task, and not all changes made were for the worse, but one piece just doesn't work in this format.
22. POKER NIGHT AT THE INVENTORY (skunkape remaster)
whenever tycho isn't dishing out the somethingawful era "get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich" hits, it's a good time with solid character AI! also cool to LEGITIMATELY win these items that i've had in my TF2 backpack for years.
21. SCOTT PILGRIM EX
for better and for worse, SPEX is the movie game on steroids. you can beat it in 5 hours max, and it just devolves into mindless button mashing by the end, but it's more scott pilgrim baby! i'll never say no to that. we are all united by fate. let's make the most of it!
20. HOPPERS
pixar's best of the 2020's! expressive animation, a hilarious script that caught me off guard, and a solid emotional core really pulls hoppers together. could it have been less centrist? yeah. but i also think we could all stand to enjoy a happy ending right about now. it's great!
19. GORILLAZ: THE MOUNTAIN
very impressed! the album is very much paced in moments and the space between those moments. the soundscape really reminds me of damon and jamie's work with their journey to the west adaptation. a breath of fresh, mountain breeze in the gorillaz discography.
18. HALO 2 (replay, heroic difficulty)
halo 2 is everything you can love about the first game done bigger and better. fantastic level design, great narrative follow through, and one of the best game soundtracks ever made. the boss fights are piss easy and the ending is lame, but tbh? who cares.
17. POOH'S ADVENTURES OF POKEMON: THE FIRST MOVIE (watched with friends)
you all know the story. how winnie the pooh and his friends found a magical door that can leap to other worlds.
16. HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED (replay, heroic difficulty)
CE is clunky, and the end of its campaign is a slog- but it's also an endlessly exhilarating, sometimes beautiful experience. you can easily see how halo revolutionized modern gaming, and why microsoft needed to milk it for all it's worth.
15. EDDSWORLD'S BANG, BOOM, SPLAT!
used to play the shit out of this as a kid and shockingly still had the cheat codes memorized. it's a fun enough time waster for just being a few eddsworld themed shooting gallery levels, but it isn't much more than that.
yo my name is MC tom, MC tom, MC tom-
14. WAKE UP DEAD MAN (rewatch with friends)
liked it even more the second go around! there were many visual details i missed the first time that really enhanced the storytelling in a movie that's very focused on how we use storytelling. may still be my least favorite? but they're all neck and neck.
13. TRANSFORMERS (2007) (rewatch with friends)
this was my introduction to the robots in disguise. i have a soft spot for it, but it's the epitome of late bush-era filmmaking. racist, crude and tinted in doodoo brown. what i've done rules and the ladiesman217 bit is unironically hilarious, though.
12. THE MUPPET MOVIE & THE MUPPETS (2011) (rewatch)
watched these to prepare for the lead up of the new muppets special... which i never actually got around to watching. oh well!
11. SEND HELP
more multifaceted than expected! don't think it's one of raimi's best, but it's very thematically cogent and the character acting between the leads are electrifying throughout. have some minor gripes and the ending will certainly be divisive, but i feel this'll be a grower.
