🏆 Saarbrücken now houses 11 ACM Fellows — about 1/3 of all ACM Fellows in Germany — highest of any location nationwide. This year, only 3 new Fellows in Germany were named, and Saarland University software engineering professor Sven Apel was one!

Congrats, Prof. Apel! 👏

Biggest difference (that I experience) in publishing and writing in Germany vs US might be that now I get LOTS of reviews asking why I chose to collect data in Germany... 🫤. Nobody questioned when I wrote papers on data from US schools.

Indiana public colleges cut almost 20% of degrees Public Indiana colleges and universities have eliminated 19 percent of their degree programs to meet requirements added to the state’s budget, according to the Commission for Higher Education.

1/ I'm feeling real pain at the cuts to Indiana public universities, especially IU, especially cogsci. These are some of the biggest brains in cogsci and edupsych in the world, but why do *I* care? I'll tell you what they've done *for me, personally*. ↵
