The edited and streamlined version of my chat with Mike and Talia about Puzzle Spy International (@agentepsilon.bsky.social) is published!
We talked about 60’s inspiration (a lot), different color socks, Puzzle Pint (a lot) and Carmen San Diego was mentioned, but we didn’t find her. Come spy on us!

Super excited to announce that Shell of a King v2.0 is finally here, and with that, we are officially departing Early Access! It's been a long journey, and I wouldn't have made it here without everyone's support. So thank you, and I hope you enjoy v2.0 of Shell of a King! 💜
✨ A Little Perspective is out now! ✨
I put my all into this strange, experimental game, and I'm so excited to finally let you all experience it for yourselves.
Head over to the Steam store to buy it now (10% off for the first week).

Guess I’ll just pretend that my next milestone of “getting steam deck verified” has been achieved and keep working on other stuff..
I mean I think I’m good. But it would be nice to know for sure.
I wanted my next post to be the green check mark of “Steam Deck Verified”, but I have now been informed by Steamworks support that “When you can apply for manual verification is decided by an automated process. No we cannot do anything about that. And no we cannot tell you how that process works”.
Puzzle Spy International is out now!
I'll let the release trailer do the heavy lifting here, but if you're into fun wordplay puzzles and rules discovery and spies and flirting and mid-century modern art and cool spy music, check it out:

That’s a huge improvement! Really nice!
I also think I prefer the bigger bars 🤔 not sure why. Have you looked into like default wide screen aspect and stuff like that? Maybe I just associate it with cinema because it’s wider?
Also how will it look on screens with different aspect ratios? Just curious!
Better or worse than The Martian? Worth a watch? 👀
How long did it take me to make Shell of a King? 4 years, 1 month, and 5 days😵💫🤯

Omg I just wrote a script for testing, building, tagging, pushing, and deploying my game to Steam in one go. It's been one of those "some time I'll do that" things that I never got around to. This is so efficient!! Why did I not to this YEARS ago??

It was a nice surprise that the article was really about him being so healthy he can still work haha! It’s all good!
But man the guy really deserves some rest at some point..
Apparently there’s a bug in Steam OS or Godot that prevents L2/R2 from being read on Steam Deck until another button or joystick has been interacted with 😶
Took a long time of troubleshooting before I finally asked on Reddit and got the confirmation that it’s not my code that causes the issue..
Your post about being afraid of him passing made me super afraid he had passed 🙈
Made a new devlog! Topics are a little outdated since I haven't made a video in so long. I still want to document the whole process though. So this one covers August through December of last year kind of. Hope you like it!

It’s the way isn’t it? I’ll try! 😭💪
Take a few weeks off and timebox a quick and dirty prototype? But what if it goes well and I want to continue after that? What then?? 🫣
Man I’m started to get real excited about a new game idea. I don’t know what to do. Don’t want to abandon the current project, but shiny new things feel so tempting right now..
Too relatable
Sick to do that yourself! Ice cold!!

Do you have any preferred way to receive input or feedback? I have a few things I’ve thought about.
I’ve only played using the touch pads on my steam deck, and it works well even without controller support!
I’m like 4 hours in but I just can’t win 😅 it’s addictive 🙈
