Stonyhurst welcomed GCSE Latin pupils from across the North West for a day of masterclasses led by Head of Classics, Judith Parkinson.
With sessions from Dr John Taylor, pupils strengthened their language and literature skills ahead of exams, alongside visits to the Museum and Historic Libraries!

Competing against 19 schools at Lancaster University School of Mathematics in Preston, our team of Isi, Paul, Tony and Leo secured an impressive 3rd place finish 👏

Stonyhurst girls’ tennis reached the LTA Year 11–13 North Championships Final at Sunderland after competing across the region since October.
A 10–2 semi-final win over St Peter’s York secured their place, finishing runners-up to The Mary Erskine School in a closely fought final.

He scored a superb first-half try and set up another with a break, chip and chase as the North led 19–12 at half time. The Midlands edged the match 23–19.

Pupils have been diving beneath the surface through our Thursday Outdoor Pursuits programme.
After five pool sessions learning key skills, they completed open water dives at Capernwray Dive Centre while working towards SSI Open Water and Advanced Diver qualifications.

We were delighted to welcome published novelist, poet and playwright Steven Camden to Stonyhurst last week.
Working with Rudiments to Grammar, Steven led a series of inspiring storytelling workshops in the More Library, showing pupils that stories do not just live in books. They live in us!
