if you're not Moominmaxxing you're missing out
for the Chrome / Chromium users out there, LinkedIn is apparently scraping your potentially sensitive extension data and sending it to third-party companies

Built a free set of Steam calculators for indie devs:
- Revenue estimator (Birkett ratio)
- Breakeven calculator
- Sale event planner
- Review estimator
- Wishlist goal tracker
All data-driven, shareable, no sign-up. Every assumption is editable.

oh no, i'm being called back to the pit
I've wished for Arab-made games about Arab mythology for so long, and despite assisting on the project I still can't believe there's one swinging for the fences this hard. House of Hikmah is something very needed in a time where the world would rather erase us.

You can pet the accorgion in People of Note
really good tip for indie devs:
the "Event and Festival" calendar from How to Market a Game got an overhaul, now includes:
- event prices
- tags for whether they'll likely get Steam featuring
- tags for physical vs online events
- can super recommend!!

Lots of feelings today as Ivy Road has closed down. While Iโm not looking for work at the moment, please do check out all the folks in this thread if youโre hiring: I vouch for all of them! ๐
And thank you to everyone who played and supported Wanderstop!
POV: your hyper fixations slip into your work life
Remember all of those times you said you would pick up an indie game if it was on sale.
Now's that time.
Here's a list of solid titles you can pick up for less than 5 bucks.
If they are censoring names, then they certainly missed this one lmao
Pokopia screenshot that says "Go to Goonsville?"
.... So did anyone else get curious if Nintendo would censor their town names or was it just me? ๐
our video game is on sale!! rescue cats, flush pirates out airlocks, argue with decapitated heads, experience a severe dust mite allergy. it's Skin Deep!
An ironic depiction of Nvidia's DLSS 5 used on TOEM 2. We say ironic but it's really a weird piece of technology, why are things moving in this direction...
Technology.
๐ Congrats to despelote, Consume Me, and Is This Seat Taken? on their BAFTA noms!
We hope you all get to take home that cool mask!
this was honestly the most good old-fashioned fun i've had in a game in a long, long time
๐ข Blighted is coming to Switch 2 when it launches later this year!!
We can't wait for you to get your hands on it!
And did you spot those new gameplay clips? ๐

Cyberpunk looking scene in pixel art from the game Dicey Hacker 1999. Cyborg looking person in a red screen at the top, blue-haired person slouched in front of a red screen computer.
Pixel art of a computer OS asking to Insert an ID Chip into a console.
Pixel art of a Palm-phone like interface that has three upgrades to choose from.
Pixel art interface of four enemies (1 with a full face mask, two military general-looking people, and one that looks like a skull circuit board. Underneath is the player UI (health, energy, money, dice for combat)
The thing I love about Next Fests is going from "I've not heard of this game" to "wow, I am now obsessed with this thing"
I could not stop playing DiceyHacker1999 last night. It has some rough edges and looks better in motion, but the vibes are fantastic

Denshattack, Gambonanza, The Eternal Life of Goldman, Vampire Crawlers, Titanium Court, Rune Dice, DiceyHacker1999 are all in the "Obsessed" category.
Cini Cross The Dungeon Experience How Many Dudes? Wanderburg Wild Blue Skies Everything is Crab Blades, Bows & Magic Croak Sledding Game TownsFolk are all in the "liked" category, which were still very enjoyable but didn't quite hit the hyperfixation bone quite like the obsessed ones.
Managed to play 28 demos over Next Fest (and hoping that several more that are downloaded won't be taken down immediately today).
Here are my top ones:
