A cartoon diptych. Top frame is the Easter bunny shouting into a phone with the words THAT'S RIDICULOUS! WE WERE BOTH SO DRUNK, I'M SURPRISED YOU EVEN REMEMBER THAT PARTY! Bottom frame is a chicken holding a phone as the words are shouting out of the phone: AND HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THEY'RE MINE?! …while the chicken side-eyes a nest full of brightly coloured Easter eggs
Okay, and a last Easter giggle for you:
Today, Christians observe Good Friday, a holy day of sacrifice, redemption, and faith.

Today, Christians across Canada celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We are reminded that compassion is stronger than hate, that light follows darkness, and that hope endures – even in the face of despair.
From my family to yours, have a blessed Easter.

A Rome court has found Netflix's subscription price increases between 2017 and 2024 to be unlawful, potentially entitling millions of Italian subscribers to refunds of up to €500. The streaming giant says it will appeal.
Claims of sexual abuse in schools were a central issue in the campaign leading up to last month's Paris mayoral election.
A hand-hooked running-loop-stitch artwork of the view of the North Saskatchewan River from a lookoff. The scene is of a clear summer day, with the sun dipping behind a cloud, a lens flare, and the sky and sunlight reflected in the river. Each stitch is a loop of hand-dyed wool fabric. Blues, greens, and violets dominate the colour palette. "Looking West From Riverbend". 8 inches square, designed and hooked by Deb Merriam in Sept. 2017, wool on linen backing.
#ArtAdventCalendar day 7: "Looking West From Riverbend", Sept 2017, hand-hooked wool flannel on linen, hooked in Laura Pierce’s Light Effects class. Local friends, this is the view from the park where houses were wrecked by erosion of sandy soil; the pedestrian bridge sits at that bend now.

Othered bodies are just a stage for their masculinity.
The primary reason men perpetrate sexual violence is to bond with each other.
That’s why there are so many text messages and emails. For most rapists, the satisfaction doesn’t come from the violence. It comes from the power they get after bragging about it.
There is not a woman alive (or a woman that has ever lived) that has not had an experience as a child of inappropriate sexual contact with an adult male. Flashing, ‘handsiness’, being shown graphic material, inappropriate sexual comments, all the way to assault. By strangers and family/friends.
The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

Full-color image of the Cathedral of Barcelona, composed on a typewriter by Montserrat Alberich Escardívol. Image from WikiMedia.
Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.
This is really illustrative of the paradigms currently locked in battle.
Being asked to justify your existence by someone that's never even taken a second to question theirs.
Cowards die many times before their deaths,

Brava: “If I don’t file a complaint, then what message does that send to all Mexican women?” Ms. Sheinbaum said at her daily news conference, noting sexual harassment was a crime… “If this can happen to the president, what’s going to happen to all the young women & women across our country?”
All of this is made up, so you could never convince me that better isn’t possible. You don’t have to settle.
