people's unwillingness to change keeps twitter such a massive platform and allows scandals like this to happen. i seriously cannot fathom how difficult a change it can be to change to here it's virtually the same in layout and experience
i havent touched this app in months, found myself scrolling twitter again for news but this recent grok undressing scandal has sickened me and seeing twitter users being so stubborn and unwilling to move away from twitter because its 'funnier' which indirectly lines musk's pockets infuriates me

[2/7] Bangor has also received £10M pounds for a new business school, a course the university doesn't particularly specialise in (it is primarily zoology and other natural sciences) could this be the uni turning its back on the environment in order to make the wasteful entrepreneurs of the future?
[5/7] The potential cause for this is the current head of finance, martyn riddleston, has been involved with multiple universities all facing financial troubles under his leadership, including Leicester University, which poses the question - why on earth would Bangor hire him?
[4/7] The voluntary severance will also be soon followed by INvoluntary severance if the 200 person target is not met, staff being fired at seemingly random with little support after being fired. This also happened during the COVID pandemic with 500 firings.
[3/7] The 'voluntary severance' seeked to have 200 members of staff choose to be fired and receive pay for the next 6 months after leaving. This can and most likely has disproportionately affected smaller courses (i.e. film and media) that the uni doesn't sell itself on.
[2/7] Bangor is one of merely TWO universities in the entire UK that offer free membership to all societies. this is indisputably a good thing and benefits every student and allows them to express themselves and have a pastime even if they are financially struggling, which many students always are.
