Adjuncting can really grind you into a pulp, but then you walk into an 8 am creative writing class (of all non majors) in the final week, who proceed to read art they have crafted with skills cultivated over a whole semester of effort, and idk. I couldn’t, can’t, stop smiling!
Genuine question re: this, would kids these days given access to a communal phone like a payphone have numbers memorized to contact a safe adult in an emergency if they didn't have a personal device on them? Is that still normal procedure?
