This is the practice I was attending b/c they were using air filters and masks. They have removed the filters b/c they “don’t have to have them anymore”.

Thank you. Some were somewhat cautious at but gave up. I will check with them to see what they are doing now.

#Halisky is there a #covid-conscious dentist left in Halifax, NS? The practice I went to changed hands and HEPA units and masks have been removed.

Voter card with voting details.

Voter card with voting details.

4 advance voting days in your neighbourhood. Early voting at EC is still available until the 22nd. All before the traditional election day voting on the 28th. Voting here in Canada is pretty easy, so we don’t really have any excuses for not voting in the most important Federal election of our lives.

Poilievre is saying that unless we do consecutive sentences for multiple murders, you get “4 years of jail time per murder.”

“That’s insane” he says.

It’s actually a lie.

They don’t get out. They get a hearing, and the murderers he’s talking about don’t get parole in Canada.

He’s rage-farming.

Advocates say Nova Scotia minimum wage hike not enough for cost of living - Halifax Examiner Fifty cent wage increase on April 1 is the first of two minimum wage hikes for 2025.

NS’s minimum wage increase isn't enough, as @csaulnier.bsky.social told the Halifax Examiner: “We’ve only seen a growing gap between the minimum wage and the living wage with the rising costs of living, and very little additional income support or otherwise for low-income workers.”

A white man wearing a light grey toque and a T-shirt with red sleeves, white bodice with a red maple leaf logo does an "elbows up" sign with his right arm while holding a jacket in his left hand. He is standing on a city sidewalk next to several other people wearing winter clothing and holding signs and Canadian flags. Some of the signs say "Oh, Canada! True North Fascist Free" and "Canada first, never 51st."

A smiling white woman with shoulder length grey hair, glasses, and wearing a red and white print scarf over a two-tone blue winter coat holds a small Canadian flag. Next to her is another woman in a grey fleece jacket over a black T-shirt with a red maple leaf that says "Canada is not for sale." She is holding a sign that says "Canada first, never 51st." The two women are standing with several other people along a city sidewalk as part of a rally.

Late this afternoon, I met some protesters from Nova Scotia who joined a rally downtown in front of Purdy's Wharf, where the U.S. Consulate has its offices.

#Halifax was just one of the cities across Canada holding such a rally. I will have the story in the morning.
