Was excited to go to a big used book sale yesterday where you pay $10 to fill a big bag with as many books as you can. Then extremely disappointed to find it was mainly evangelical Christian and right wing political books. Should have expected that in small town Oklahoma I guess. 🙄

It's like watching an 80 year old man give a 4th grade book report.

That's not to say that there aren't people who offer valuable services to writers in the above ways--it's just that most don't and they prey on the naivety and hope of far too many writers.

So many people looking to make a quick buck off of writers. They want to feature you on their website. Review your book for a fee. Market your book on social media. If I took everyone up on these offers I'd be wayyy into the negative & they'd do next to nothing to actually promote me & my books.
