Did a shotgun equipping animation today. Not sure I'm as happy with as I am the others I've done so far so I might return to this one and polish it up. Also edited the gun model to look a little beefier.

Hmm, working on some shotgun animations, but not sure this is the right shotgun model for the job. Looks a little to small compared to the SMG from earlier, and I'd like this one to look a lot more chunky.

Blender apparently deletes animations sometimes so I have to re-do a ton of work now, even after recovering an autosave....

Yeah, I'm probably going to do something similar for this also to help keep things simple.
I'm aiming for more of a Y2K era shooter, like Halo CE and F.E.A.R, although their enemy AI is way more advanced than what I can do for now xD
Love me some arena fun! Grew up playing Halo 2 and 3 multiplayer
I have some minimum amount of features I'd like.
About 5 weapons, 1 or 2 enemy types, and 1-2 fully playable levels. For mechanics I'm aiming for something simple with just shooting, pushing buttons and picking up keys. Possibly also throwing nades and melee if I feel like it :)
I hope to have a playable level or two at the end of this, but it's mainly going to be a shooter template I can work off of for future projects.
I've dipped my toes into Unreal and it seems like a great engine for sure. How far along with yours are you? :D
Using Godot. Main point of the project is to have fun making it and learn the engine.

Found a little time to do another weapon animation. Planning to have a little animation play whenever the player equips another weapon, much like in Halo.

Been putting off my game deving so I'm to diving back in by doing something fun. First time doing a reload animation and I think it's turning out real well.

I've gotten to the point in developing my shooter game template where I need to start making gameplay and design decisions.
This is mostly a project I'm doing to learn the engine and brush up on coding so I'm not aiming for a masterpiece, but a prototype to build from would be cool!

Killing some time in Blender, trying to get a mood-piece or 2 done for my first-person shooter game.
Always liked the imposing and monolithic vibes of brutalist architecture and should also be a style that helps keep geometry simple for the game.
