Been a pretty chaotic week getting this little velociraptor settled into his new home, which includes getting him a more expensive playpen because he figured out how to escape the other one. He loves berries and will give me an offended look if I dare offer him dog treats during training.

Mamu is back home now, currently zooted out of her mind and crashing her surgery party hat into everything like a drunk frat boy, lol. It was fortunately not as bad as it could have been and she will be okay!

Had to take Amunet to the vet today. She's going in for emergency surgery and I'm not really sure how it's gonna turn out. The vet bill is gonna be something crazy though so I might have to temporarily open commissions to try and cover some of the costs.

Got more photos of Sesshomaru! The little white patch on his forehead is perfection. 💞 He's coming home next weekend.

In universe mantids are basically a self tamed species the way cats are. So while they can behave in society among prey species they have to make a real effort against their instincts. Peal has a strong biting instinct so he will do it both out of aggression and affection, lol.

You can put layers in a folder and turn the folder invisible to turn all the layers it contains off.

The breeder said he's the most independent one of his siblings so I was like yes, he is the one, lol.

I have this extremely specific brain curse where every time I see literally anything with Shakra in it my brain just immediately yells SHAKIRA then aggressively plays the "my hips don't lie" song in my head.

I originally had it in my description that I do occasional nsfw but because I hadn't drawn much of anything in so long it never came up until now and realized that might jumpscare some people, lol. If I do make a second account I will probably put some hefty limits on who can interact with it.

I never posted this one here? Vim's design came about as a game of "how do I change everything about her originally being a Grimmchild without losing the vibe of one". And the answer came as inversion: black face white body. She's older than she appears but Peal still treats her like a daughter.

Personally I think it comes down to dehumanization. I'm trans, ace and autistic so I've had my fair share of that in life. Bugs are about as far away from human as you can get from a terrestrial critter standpoint. Not to mention how diverse and gender fucky bugs are.

I wasn't too sure either at first but it's happened enough times that I'm like "Wait a minute." Aro/ace people are rare to begin with and the trans combo even rarer so it does stand out compared to other communities.

It would be interesting if there was a questionnaire for bug artists to see how common it actually is and why they chose bugs specifically.

I would say that counts yes. It's a pattern I've noticed and it's kind of funny how common it is.

Bug artists that happen to be both trans and ace seems to be a frequent enough phenomenon that I can't help but wonder if there's something to it from a psychological standpoint, lol.

Got mine done a few months ago and I bounced back from surgery super fast. Definitely recommend a shower chair to get you through the first week though. Scarring is super minimal for laparoscopic too!

Oh god, though that's not too far off from some of my past experiences. I once had these two girls get so jealous of me and my ex-friend's ocs they made the most obvious knockoffs of them in the world and publicly roleplayed one r*ping the other. I'm still baffled by that one.

Same goes for anything that's too ooc. So if you post any ship art with my ocs and I happen to repost it, you better believe it's going to happen in the comic eventually if it hasn't already (I will be very impressed if anyone ever correctly guesses the pair that gets together at the end). 8D
