Chat with Stephen at Tuple

Hey, John. Sorry about this; I've gone ahead and refunded you're team's latest payment.

Can you tell me more about the issues you and your team are experiencing? I'd love to chat and get to the bottom of the problem so you don't have to embark on this search.

Hey! I'm Stephen, Tuple's CEO.

Would you be down to chat with me about this? As a product, Tuple *has* to be killing it on this front, and this general sentiment is deeply concerning to me.

Send me a DM, or you can book some time here: meet.stephendolan.com

Focus is the coolest @raycast.com feature they've released in a while.

~ 2 minutes, and I've got a Keyboard Maestro macro that starts a focus session from my selected OmniFocus task!

You might be right. Maybe spend a week switching to-do apps?

I'd recommend trying to completely quit your chat and email apps for at least a portion of your day.

Huge lever for not being driven by latest and loudest.

If your to-do list is feeling overwhelming, there are lots of strategies you can use to make it more useful and less stressful.

You could also just do some shit from the list. You'll feel better, I promise!

The only thing it’s missing is ratings, which is lame but also not the end of the world.

Worth it to not use an app that thinks it’s a website!

I thought the same thing, but it turns out they added support! Just ran through these steps and it worked well:

How do you personally differentiate between coordination and collaboration?

I like to think I collaborate across the team to end up with better output, but I’m wary of becoming a bottleneck when I should just be getting out of people’s way.

13 Sowings of Summer and Autumn for second crops and full beds
13 Sowings of Summer and Autumn for second crops and full beds YouTube video by Charles Dowding

After becoming a dad, I narrowed down my hobbies to just gardening. Getting my hands in the soil and nourishing my family with food I’ve grown is incredibly fulfilling.

#NoDig makes it super easy to get started, and Charles Dowding is a lovely creator to learn from!

If you’re using due dates in your to-do list, it’s likely for the wrong reason.

What would happen if you went in and cleared that field out entirely?

The closer you are to the “nothing” end of the spectrum, the more dire your use of due dates.

Resetting your computer and starting from scratch is a great way to get rid of the cruft that accumulates over time!

I think I'm going to make a habit of doing this once per year.

Business Advice Plagued by Survivor Bias Advice from “successful entrepreneurs” might be unreliable due to Survivor Bias. What’s real, and what’s random?

Koan #26

“I’m smart!”
“Why?”
“I flipped this coin, and it came up heads.”
“So?”
“I wanted it to be heads.”
“Flip it again.”
“No, I’m done with that.”
“What will you do now?”
“Tell other people how to flip coins.”

And the student was enlightened.

Writing down the next step before you end your session in a list that you maintain well can really help!

You’ll only stop thinking/stressing about it constantly when your brain truly trusts it doesn’t need to remember for you.

So far, quite underwhelmed by the new Team book from David Allen.

Waiting for the same kind of "Aha" moment I had when I originally read #gettingthingsdone, and it hasn't happened yet.

Maybe not the intention?
