Today we welcomed the amazing Jim Roberson to Cromwell to deliver motivational talks and mountains of inspiration to our Year 11 students in readiness for the upcoming GCSE exam season! ⬇

Year 9 pupils have been working hard on their project "Our Town". They have demonstrated pride in their school and town using perspective drawing skills to draw local buildings and the College ✏️

Year 11 Revision Sessions for the Easter break are now live on the Parent Arbor App under 'Activities'.
Please sign up by Wednesday 2 April.
There will also be a desk set up in the Sports Hall during the Parents' Evening today for support with signing up your child for the sessions.

Primary phase celebrated World Maths Day yesterday!
Activities included: combining PE with Maths; playing counting/number games; making different 2D shapes; playing partner games such as snakes and ladders and shut the box. Year 1 even did various number-based activities at Forest School! ➕➖➗✖️

Today Year 2 set off on a 'Traction Man' adventure through Chatteris. We followed his picture clues to the library where we learnt lots about the library and noisily joined in with the popular book Shark in the Park! Before leaving, we enjoyed a new 'Traction Man' story from the series! 📖

Thank you to all the local companies and colleges who have joined us today for our Cromwell Community College Careers Fair! 🤝 This is an important component of our Careers programme, where our pupils from Primary through to Sixth Form are able gather information about various career pathways.

Pupils and staff have been wearing red today to raise funds for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day! 🔴
Secondary pupils have also been invited to take part in a Comic Relief Treasure Hunt across the College, hunting for the punchlines to incomplete jokes to be in with a chance of winning a prize! 🔴

It's World Book Day 2025!! 📚Our Primary phase children and staff, along with the Secondary phase English staff, have embraced the day by dressing as their favourite book characters! 📚

Thank you to the parents and grandparents who came in this morning to talk to Year 2 pupils about their favourite childhood toys today. Although horrified to hear about the lack of TVs, they thoroughly enjoyed learning about different toys and making comparisons with their own toys!

Mrs Stevenson's Year 13 Biologists took their learning outside yesterday - drawing the heart and tracking the electrical impulse that causes the heart muscles to contract. They were then able to link this to their understanding of the cardiac cycle from Year 12 👇

Mr Freemantle took a group of pupils to Wembley Stadium yesterday to experience international women's football ⚽️ England Lionesses triumphed with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Spain in the UEFA Women’s Nations League! ⚽️

Year 7 pupils had a fantastic, informative day at the National Space Centre today and were brilliant ambassadors for Cromwell! They were even given a demonstration by an old Cromwellian from many moons ago who now works at the centre! 🚀
