Thanks! I've been told this book is amazing and haven't gotten around to reading it yet; I really have to give it a try!

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. Electric word, life. It means forever, and that's a mighty long time. But I'm here to tell you there's something else: The afterworld. A world of never-ending happiness. You can always see the sun, day or night."
Congratulations!!
1. Dimetrodon (technically not a dinosaur or even a dinosaur contemporary but let me have this)
2. Genre wide open but humor strongly preferred!
3. Approximately as weird as the Early Permian
It was very weird finding myself floating in the "I dunno, I just don't like her for some reason" current and then realizing: wait, how did I get here exactly and what's the point of it??
The early '10s Slate article about Anne Hathaway hate just being garden-variety misogyny focused on a specific person was honestly a valuable lesson for me.
"All 7 and we'll watch them fall. They stand in the way of love and we will smoke them all."
Big news today at Good Comics for Kids: After a four-year break, @svetlania.bsky.social returns to Berrybrook Middle School for Fight, the sixth book in the series, coming later this year from @yenpress.com:

"My shoes thanked me politely for the great question and then tried to walk me off a bridge. That was how I knew that their pivot to AI was complete."
Honestly, I'm kinda into the premise? This could be anywhere from really good to really awful
1. You can't make me choose a favorite, the wonder of dinosaurs is their diversity and we should always have at least four different dinosaurs in every dinosaur thing. It's Lucky Charms rules
2. I know Dimetrodon isn't a dinosaur but that just makes me love my lil' potato chip buddy even more
please say you'll add some "under construction" gifs too
Interesting article! Who did the illustrations?
I love stories with earnest robots/aliens/lifeforms who recently gained sentience and are awkwardly navigating the wonder of life. Please do not invent these robots.
Okay CTA. This is a good sign.
It’s that time when we look at airline safety manuals as part of our nonfiction unit in advanced making & with it, I share what I consider to be the best airline safety video ever made - delta from a bunch of years back, clearly made by someone who has thought a lot about comics. Stay for all of it!
It's been three and a half months since Bonus Cat died, and I still miss him all the time. It doesn't feel like GRIEF grief, more like "dang that cat was so good. I wish he was still around."
I learned about European robins embarrassingly recently. Before that, I kept wondering why so many artists had trouble drawing robins.
I always giggle at things with butts.
An illustrated greeting card of a bare banana running away from a banana peel. The words say: GO BANANAS!
#repostyourart Day 7: Silly
I used to make greeting cards in a past life. Here is a redraw of one of my faves. 2021
These are AMAZING!!
"We Built This City" is a banger
doing their damnedest to address the critical shortage of grotesque caricatures of the guy wearing soiled diapers. not only an insightful and novel statement, it's a visual that everyone LOVES looking at! 🙄
I could take or leave the ice cream since it's usually mediocre quality but I would happily eat a stack of those wafers with a fork
Not a bad take. Oxford commas are fine, but it's a silly hill to die on.
I often say that the trip to a place always feels longer than the return trip, and this kind of explains why!
