RI doesn't have a law to stop bid-rigging. Why are sponsors dropping off a bill to change that? At least one co-sponsor of a bill to stop bid-rigging in RI got a call from a McKee aide and was convinced to back off with their support.

There is more breaking news, response and interaction between people I cover on "X" than there is here. But I check my BlueSky account every now and then.

RI's AG sued a landlord over lead-poisoned children. Why a judge just dismissed the case. A judge tossed a lawsuit brought by the attorney general's office over lead-poisoned children.

It’s extraordinary how difficult it is to convince some judges of our Office’s expansive powers to fight for all RI’ers, including lead-poisoned children. They can’t fight for themselves against irresponsible/dangerous landlords. We’ll appeal. And win.
