Why don't the same regulations apply to gasoline (petrol)?

Diesel is less explosive than gasoline (diesel has to be exposed to high pressure to cause explosive ignition).

It does burn, of course. Firies use it in their drip torches.

Labor does what it can for Humanity. The Liberals take it all away again.

Someone once asked me why I hate the Liberal party. While listing numerous reasons they walked off, shaking their head.

Water off a duck's back.

How does that explain the fact that diesel is now more expensive than it was?

Australian govt yesty approved plan to make diesel from oily greasy waste products (diesel engine will run on fish shop's oily waste).

Plant will hv capacity of 20 million litres per year -- enough for 20 days supply at today's usage rate.

Some who live in nth hem during winter have to warm ignition key with cigarette lighter before they can get it into the door lock.

Old tech, might hv changed, along with seat warmers, steering wheel warmers. Good grief!

Modern diesel engine doesn't use glow plug - just turn the key & go. That was the case with Toyota 'striker' (a ute) in my RFS unit.

Bigger diesel engine (giant truck) might be different.

Anyway, I'm talking abt leaving the engine running in any weather, not northern hemi specifically.

DoJ is in Trump's pocket -- along with the rest of the US Admin.

He probably will. He has slapped an import tariff on colonies of penguins, so, you know, he has form.

Trump’s arrogance has reached an unbearable level; he is nothing but a self important arsehole.

Trump's an idiot. He's a narcissistic, egoistical, idiot.

A big mouth, a tiny brain, & most likely a tiny weeny wiener.

Small hands, but very grabby, grasping.

Some folks are leaving their vehicle's engine running while the vehicle is parked, empty, in a car park.

I think it's to keep the air-con running.

It must be highly illegal. I'm assuming vehicle is securely locked.

Once upon a time diesel was regarded as a cheap fuel -- unless I'm mistaken.

Led to leaving the engine running "because it's a diesel".

Ain't cheap no more. What happened?

Many makes of cars & utes now available with diesel or turbo diesel engines.

Demand exceeded supply?

Fact-checkers accused Trump of spreading misinformation, as the strait was actually formed during the late Cretaceous period.

Trump out-smarted by Strait of Hormuz closure (also imposed a blockade on a closed waterway) so he blames plate tectonics for the problem he created.

Never was "a very stable genius" & never will be.

Trumpty Dumpty has done his TACO thing again -- extending the ceasefire to give Iran more time to prepare for peace talks.

This is after multiple threats of blowing Iran to hell if it doesn't agree to an unconditional surrender.

Trumpty hasn't won this one. Iran has him over a barrel (Hormuz).

Some think the splashing might be an attempt to dislodge barnacles or parasites.

Others think the whales just like to have fun.

Still early days for new-fangled electric vehicles.

Changes are happening fairly thick & fast. All problems will be solved, as with shopping by card on the internet.

I like the idea of electric vehicles. Better than pumping toxic crap into the air we, critters & plants breath.

I don't know, can only surmise.

The EV "battery" is a pile of "torch" batteries strung together to provide the power to propel a vehicle with fierce acceleration.

Hence high voltage.

News headline this morning, EU is considering its agreement (??) with Israel due to war against Lebanon.

Illegal settler action (deadly action) against Palestinians in West Bank is said to be accelerating.

He is qualified. Says the 600 or so voltage is just too dangerous.

Moves to new tech batteries are overcoming the fierce fire problem.

I'm amazed anyone follows the Liberals today, after the mess they hv made of themselves.

Slow learners I guess.

Thanks Paul. The unit I've ordered has a built-in inverter &, I think, a 240V socket.

If cable connectors are a problem I'm planning to plug into 240V powerboard & use laptop's original power cable to connect laptop.

This stuff seems to be trial & error ⚑πŸ’₯

Likewise the inquiry into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody.

Many recommendations. Much wringing of hands. Bugger all reform activity.

Does anyone even ask why Indigenous men are biggest cohort of prison population? Has to be reason(s) for it.

USA will experience a lot of damage under the Trump Admin.

As for change for better, it's beginning to happen as some Western nations seek new alliances, assurances & trading partners.

Saw list of US kinetic engagements post WWII this morning. Absolutely horrifying. No-one's safe.

Can't relate to families Daz. I lost my mother at age 3, Dad remarried soon after & my childhood turned to shit.

How is your injured grandson going with his recovery?

My only need for AC/DC is maintaining my Lotto database on the laptop & preparing Saturday's entry.

For those 3 years I updated & referred to a paper database, coloured pens & all.

Had a few good hits as well.

Hi-tech is overrated & prone to failure.

For 3 years while camping & touring in my small Toyota Town Ace van I cooked on open fires or a single burner gas cooker.

Meals had to be cooked in parts, unless they came as a kit (open bag, add hot water).

I don't know why I'm fussing about electrifying my camping experience/adventures.

Some body (authority?) in the UK is researching Trump's announcements & stock market reactions.

Trump has no morality so why wldn't he manipulate the market?

That's how fortunes are made. Buy low, sell high. Regroup & do it all again.

My Dad cd hv taught me a lot about electricity, but didn't.

I can't recall having a conversation with him abt anything.

A useless being, on an emotional level.
