Apparently I didn't have a DK tier list yet, so there we go:
Also got to play it on emulator and on Wii's VC later on. Lost count how times I've beaten this game at this point, haha. Needless to say, DKC2 is an all time classic and my favorite one of the trilogy. Freaking banger.
Used to play (more watch than play, honestly) this game on my uncle's SNES back when i was little kid. This is actually one of the first games I ever had any contact in my life, so it's super nostalgic to me.
Unsurprisingly the absolute worst game in the list so far.
It's not. I've actually written an entire essay ranting about this game, but ultimately decided not to post it lol. I'll just say I'm really disappointed and not feeling like playing the sequels even though I will eventually. Oh well.
Completely skipped the TLOS series back in the days since my local, totally legal, game shop never had it in stock for whatever reason. Always had the curiosity to play it though since it promises a super epic reboot and everything. As a kid, this sounded awesome.
Despite the more friendly difficulty, Pushmo World still takes the higher tier for its wide variety in puzzles, mechanics and improved visuals. Pretty much what you'd expect from the final entry in the series. They're both awesome games regardless π
That said, the original Pushmo is probably the best game to start with if you're new to the franchise. Kinda interested to see how it evolves in Crashmo and Stretchmo but it'll take a while until I feel like returning to the series. As much as I love puzzle games, they can get tiring pretty quickly.
Pretty interesting that despite the increased difficulty in later levels, this game isn't nearly as insane as Pushmo World. That becomes even more clear when you take in consideration the fact that World re-used some of the first game's puzzles but made them 3x more challenging.
Just a day before FlingSmash. This was a pretty nice game to play a bit every day. I was already familiarized with the game's mechanics and everything since I played Pushmo World first, so it was interesting to see how it all started.
That's also the biggest reason why I didn't bother going for the 100%. The fact it's an auto-scroller doesn't help either as you have to reset the level every time you mess up, which can be really frustrating.
All that aside, it's a cool game. Not the one I'll ever play again, but cool regardless.
Short but fun game! Pretty charming, nice soundtrack + it has a tropical theme which is awesome. Only real downside is that the gameplay consists of swinging the Wii Remote 100% of the time. If you're an artist, this kinda game can be honestly pretty dangerous for your wrist π
Another one for the tier list. I guess the placement was pretty obvious this time.
Aside that, the Qwark, Gadgebots and escaping sections are equally as uninteresting. The traditional Clank and arena Ratchet are by far the most enjoyable ones but that's not to say much.
The rhythm minigames also doesn't help. Basides being a drag, the timing of the button presses are completely inconsistent and barely have anything to do with the music or what going on in the screen. Worst part of the game by far.
Anyways, I knew beforehand about this game's reception, so I wasn't expecting much. Still, I did have some fun. I think the biggest issue with this title is the fact it is a weird, mediocre Ratchet & Clank entry that's not a traditional title, but not exactly a spin-off either. It just exists.
I think I mentioned this in my old account, but I finished Size Matters on PSP just a couple weeks before they announced the HD port. Glad I decided to wait to see if they'd do the same for this one before purchasing a copy of the original PSP release.
Secret Agent Clank (PS5) finished 100% on April 2nd π
#R&C #HundredPercent
As I said, I personally enjoyed the game, especially for its silliness, but yeah, that's probably the most underwhelming game in the series I've played so far.
It's atrocious. I still have nostalgia for this game, but oh boy. Wish me luck cause I still wanna beat the other entries in the series eventually π
You wanna catch a PokΓ©mon? Hit it until it gets stunned and finish them before they snap out of it. Oh, so it didn't stun? Too bad! Maybe next time you get a better RNG!
Wasn't that difficult to beat both the advanced and EX modes, but completing the PokΓ©dex was just as boring as I expected. Unlike people say, the biggest problem of this game isn't really being a simplistic hack 'n slash, but the ridiculous amount of unnecessary RNG it has.
Both me and my brother played the heck out of this game back then. Though, I remember dropping it after getting halfway through the advanced mode as we eventually got more interesting games to play. That's why I decided to pick it up again and actually finish it for real this time.
Got this game way back in the days when I had to beg my mom to purchase Wii Points for me so I could get stuff on Wii Shop Channel. Good old times.
