"Qualified immunity" doesn't shield them from anything. The "qualification" is that they're following the law. If they break the law they can be tried regardless.

I agree with the principle, but as a practical matter, what criteria do you use to draw any boundaries? Even the boundaries of the individual states make no sense. Do we need two Dakotas? A full twenty of our states have a smaller population than Puerto Rico.

I also believe that even if Harris had denounced Israel, there would have been other wedge issues pursued with equal vigor. The right wing media is relentless. Any Democratic candidate will face the same or worse. Mamdani in NYC was an anomaly. It's the media that needs to be addressed desperately.
