still looking for level design work!
I can work in Unreal, Unity, and probably whatever in-house engine you'll throw at me. I have worked on DLC for Sniper Elite 5, various community mod projects, and custom maps for TF2 and Half-Life 2.

I don't know why but I can't seem to care for demonic possession horror films whatsoever anymore. They all get a huge yawn from me. 😐

I think that's it, off the top of my head. I didn't mention the writing and voice acting, which are also fantastic. I had a great time with Mouse. It's not a perfect game, but it's damn good. Fairly lengthy campaign, too.
- While I appreciate the various level themes in the game, I think there was too much swamp
- The game likes to have breakable walls with enemies behind, but they have long-lasting very opaque smoke VFX when they break and as a result enemies can see you when you can't and shoot you immediately
...you cannot replay levels you've beaten, which means you can permanently miss secrets and side missions, and there is nothing after the credits
- You can pick safes but some of them jam if you fail, permanently
- You cannot bind movement keys, so you're screwed if you use anything other than WASD
Some of the things I didn't like:
- The second half of your arsenal is very underwhelming, with some latter weapons being way too weak in comparison to workhorse weapons even if they're upgraded
- Levels like to lock doors behind you with no way back, which wouldn't be a huge problem except...
More things I liked:
- Level design is overall really well done
- The game is full of atmosphere and can have some downright cartoonish spooky moments
- Talking to your "crew" in the hub is nice, since all of them are well fleshed-out
- The baseball card game is pretty cool, even if too easy
That's Mouse: P.I. For Hire finished. I'll start with what I liked:
- The animations and hand-drawn elements are gorgeous
- 3D art is impeccable
- The game is full of style and consistently throws unexpected things at you
- Most of the weapons are very good, Devarnisher and James Gun especially
Yeah I thought the white ones didn’t have any limits, but sometimes they do?? I think their color only tells you what amount of money you’ll get out of them
That and failing lockpicking safes can jam them, so you can never obtain what they contain.
Yeah it’s one aspect of the game I do t like (I imagine you’re referring to Mouse)
Dans Alien, le 8ème passager, il y a en réalité 9 passagers.
Typing 451 next to a door unlocks it.
Well, you know me, I just had to try. And it works. (SPOILERS for Mouse: P.I. For Hire, for the mission "One Flew")
I laughed out loud and took the same screenshot
I love when you can tell a level designer was at the end of their rope at one point
Mouse: P.I. For Hire is really cool so far. Be warned, you can rebind pretty much everything on keyboard *EXCEPT* movement keys for some reason.
Qd je pense que certains d'entre vous ont peur de s'exprimer en public alors que raconter n'importe quoi pourrait vous permettre de rentrer au Figaro
Three panel comic. Panel 1: scene from the movie Aliens; Ripley is in a mech suit and delivers her iconic line: “get away from her, you bitch!” Panel 2: the xenomorph queen lunges at Ripley in the robotic suit and they engage in a fight. Panel 3: later, the xenomorph queen is standing in the shower, mid wash. She says, “‘it takes one to know one, honey.’ That’s what I should have said.”

Beautiful Nali seaside town, overrun by Kralls. I really like the level design in this, the way it loops on itself is very satisfying. I still can't believe that this thing has a working day/night cycle. I can't even begin to imagine how it was implemented.
I've been playing The One for Unreal. This is some extremely high quality stuff. The scale of these maps is immense, and overall it's an explorer's delight. It's got a crossbow you can use as a grappling hook that attaches on wood. Icing on the cake? Weather effects, and a day/night cycle. Yeah.
Behold the ratbug
I am irrationally hyped for Mouse P.I., which releases next Thursday. It looks too good to be true, but I want to believe.
They were on KEXP a few years ago. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbrq...
Diavol Strâin's new album is fantastic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OU7...
Yeah... that'd explain why I can't remember.
I don't even remember what I mentioned 🫣
