Its amazing how much more efficient and effective work can be when you aren't constantly fighting fires or just struggling to survive.

The common wisdom is to just work people to the bone. But a little bit of breathing room does make us more efficient.

"The year has just started because #sinulog just ended."

What wisdom in that sentence.

It seems like my own personal attention span for a game caps out at about 40 hours. It amazes me how people can sink a hundred+ hours into a game.

NATO ends if Trump invades Greenland, EU commissioner warns Andrius Kubilius is the most senior EU official to have backed up Danish PM on her assertion the Greenland issue could kill the alliance.

It makes you wonder how the new world order will look like.

The entire modern IR system was built assuming a consistent US position. But the current administration is throwing all of that out the window. The assumption of "US backed" is no longer true.

Lenovo's Legion gaming laptop rolling screen concept. It's cool that this works, but I had a little argument with a company rep about whether or not anyone would want to buy one. He said, half jokingly, the audience was "billionaire CEOs" and other rich people

Learning how to do #AI deployments on #python. I've never really dug too deep into python, but using the AI packages just makes me realize how much of the work is hidden behind multiple layers of libraries and packages, makes it a wonder the programmer knows what's going on at all in their own code.

Speaking as an IT professional. PC Brands are struggling to make their product "sexy". Their product may have reached its peak "design state" with the only improvements being performance or battery related; in an industry where innovation is key and they need to sell more units YoY.

Dell’s XPS revival is a welcome reprieve from the “AI PC” fad Dell moves from pushing "AI PCs" and back to what matters in laptops.

After looking at it more closely, with the lack of "AI PC" use cases, the value proposition for why people should pay x% more for an AI PC just didn't make sense.

But, I am optimistic about the idea of ARM-based laptops, with lighter frames and longer battery life.

Reading about the #SouthKorea martial law situation. So this is what it feels like to be an outsider looking in to intense political drama of a country you don't live in.

Speaking as someone that lived in Hong Kong during the Hong Kong Protests.

The ability to use a domain to self-authenticate is pretty cool @bsky.app

I registered to the standard @bsky.app server when I created this account. But would anyone know if I can transfer my account to my own server when I eventually set that up?

Trying this out because a #decentralized twitter is an interesting concept. And it has #selfhosted capability.
