Quick follow-up with Char's Counterattack movie. I'm ngl I did not care that much for the Quess/Hathaway/Gyunei stuff that much. But the last like 30 minutes of the movie with Char and Amuro are soooooo good. Animation and music were also top notch.

As a Super Robot fan, the Double Zeta did a lot for me lol. The combination scenes got me hyped. Also a fan of my king's (Mashymre) Hamma Hamma.

Definitely not a perfect show by any means and I can see why people don't like it though. It does take a bit to get going, especially if you don't vibe with the lighter tone. There are also some weird writing decisions, especially surrounding a few deaths.

Judau is also just my GOAT... did not expect to enjoy him so much but he is very different from the other Gundam protagonists I've seen. I also enjoyed the antagonists of ZZ a lot more than Zeta. Honestly wish we got to see more of Mashymre cause he's funny as fuck.

Maybe my first spicy Gundam opinion since I've heard ZZ get a lot of shit over the years. I loved ZZ! Greatly enjoyed the cast of characters and did not mind the lighter tone/humor at all. I felt that the lighter tone of the first half made the darker tone of the 2nd half hit harder.

Something that I find amusing is that there's a game within the movie that's based off of a MOBA, but MOBAs have never been super popular in Japan. LoL has only had a very recent surge of popularity in Japan, so it was cool to see something similar in a movie! Made me feel repped a LoL player :p
