Honestly though, he should be rewarded for so effectively publicizing policy and owning the implementation. That’s what executives are for!
Your replies here “nobody wants robotaxis” reminds me of “nobody wants apartments”. And nobody wants these things so hard that they apparently have to make them illegal.
Even if Congress as a whole is more obviously at fault, I don’t think it changes the incentives for each individual Congressperson so why would they act any differently?
They created that easy ride for themselves through gerrymandering.
I’m also worried that this is just treating the symptom instead of the root issue, which is a dysfunctional Congress.
I dig it. If not for parking minimums, would unbundled parking be the norm anyways?
“What were the blue bloods, Grandpa?”
“Well, the number one team could beat the number three team by 58 in the national championship and nobody was really that surprised.”
I try to avoid it.
Everyone is sleeping on bikeshare increasing when getting run over isn’t nearly as likely.
A baby is born to save humanity. If that’s not Christmas then what are we doing?
The rule of thumb I’ve heard for construction costs of parking in new multifamily is about 25%.
As a consumer I feel like the talent is spread too thin as it is.
I would feel a lot more comfortable taking my daughter to daycare on a bike if every car was a Waymo.
Also, just a worse version of all those things that will depreciate quickly.
Some of these buyouts are negating multiple years worth of media rights payout advantages for the SEC/B10 vs ACC/B12, just to be irrelevant while your regional rivals are in the playoff race.

The odds of a big fix in Congress right now are basically zero without some kind of popular revolt. Two states at a time is a lot more feasible.
I think we need similar sized blue and red states to make binding ceasefire deals. “If you fix your districts, we will too.” Basically, the opposite of what California and Texas are doing.
Trying to figure out what the negative catalyst will be to get investors to put a stop to this. Even if Elon and Zuck spent themselves into bankruptcy, the surviving ModelCo’s still wouldn’t have pricing power.
The Meta AI app was down at 107 when I checked this afternoon 😬
I have zero notes.
Went to see City of God at @austinfilm.bsky.social and of course had to read about the development history of Cidade de Deus.
The state built a bunch of low-income, single-family housing, which the residents swiftly autoconstructed back into the dense, mixed-use favelas they were forced out of.
Like an oasis in the desert.
Thank you, Robert Caro!
I guess I'd hope the difference is that the killers are more likely to face justice now, which is a band-aid shaped deterrent.
Apple is Netflix's best friend because they take all the talent for shows that no one watches.
Instead of just building larger apartments lol
This seems pretty disingenuous when your own chart does not show Texas' coal power increasing at all and another chart shows power sector emissions lower today than they were in 2001.
I would buy Talarico in Texas at 21% if he decided to run.
