Most people that say this are either not competing for international talent, or they don’t understand the flywheel effect this can have.

The world has literally moved on without you, but sure dude, hold on tight to all those shares that will be worth less because of your lack of empathy.

The main argument I hear against giving employees shares in a company:

“But they don’t ask for it”

Then educate! That’s your job. Explain how there’s a chance that it can fuel their future. Share your experiences. Tell them why owning your work is amazing.

Be a leader, not a hoarder.
