The Covid narrative has been far from normal, it’s damaged our infection prevention. It was politicised, we could have done many easy things to avoid and still should be doing.

Two concepts need to be separated out:

The success of the Covid vaccines that saved millions of lives.

The actual access to the Covid vaccines, therapeutics and antivirals. This has been restricted.

Why?

In a just world, charges for criminal negligence would already be pending against infection control leaders who shoved scientific experts aside, grabbed for power, and committed the worst medical error in history.

But we live in a world where medical leaders normalize and protect that behaviour.

The gold standard is only as good as the gold it contains. If the trial is not conducted in a rigorous fashion or if there are changes made to the protocol as the trial is in progress this can seriously bias the interpretation of the final results.

Helpful commentary about what can go wrong with randomized controlled trials that are often touted as the “gold standard” for decision making on health interventions. For example trials assessing if N95 respirators or medical masks are equally protective or if one is more protective.

I say defunct and not removed because as of a few days ago the mailbox outside the post office which they said was to be removed March 9th is physically still there with a notice on it asking for it not to be used.
