This is true. No one wants to admit COVID still exists or ever existed. Quite incredible. Where are the huge conferences dedicated to COVID, like there still is for HIV?

Infectious disease minimizers own this. Public health officials who consistently downplayed COVID own this. Media who plarformed minimizers own this.

It’s not "normal" to pretend a disease doesn’t exist—or nothing can be done to reduce harm.

Leaving kids, communities, and ourselves exposed isn’t “moving on,” it’s neglect, coerced, morally repugnant, indifference.

If that upsets you, ask yourself: are you an arseolist?

How much "loss" do fire departments report annually? Police? The armed forces? Roads? Schools? Solid waste collection? Wastewater treatment? Public health agencies?

How’s the phrasing here?
Any suggested edits?
Perhaps I should have improved clarity by adding “ongoing” and “institutional” to “denial”?

Headline in TTC subway displays: hospitalizations for respiratory infections on the rise in Canada.

So listen. We have this data. Showing hospital admissions for ‘resp’ infections 2x pre-pandemic. But ALL school absence discussions - see CBC! See the National last night! IGNORE growing illness as biggest absence factor (or ANY factor!). This is horrible reporting/journalism. /1

Prof Beggs testimony to the UK COVID Inquiry should have been blasting on repeat on every screen at ESCMID, with his written submission plus the Module 3 report issued as required reading for every attendee.

Droplet transmission (unless you are specifically referring to aerosol droplets) is not a thing. It is a deadly misunderstanding underpinned by medicine's poor grasp of the physical sciences and arrogant dismissal of expertise outside medicine.

The Covid narrative has been far from normal, it’s damaged our infection prevention. It was politicised, we could have done many easy things to avoid and still should be doing.

Two concepts need to be separated out:

The success of the Covid vaccines that saved millions of lives.

The actual access to the Covid vaccines, therapeutics and antivirals. This has been restricted.

Why?

In a just world, charges for criminal negligence would already be pending against infection control leaders who shoved scientific experts aside, grabbed for power, and committed the worst medical error in history.

But we live in a world where medical leaders normalize and protect that behaviour.

Not so fun fact, my work PC already requires this due to *reasons that would doxx me*

But we are given external chip cards that have to be inserted into the computer or else it won't even run. No online access without it.

And they want to do this to everyone's driver's license or state ID.

how is this supposed to work if you have a computer lab, internet café, search terminal at a library, warehouse management database, router, smart thermostat, Point of Sale systems, power plant control automation, containerized cloud service, satellite, *vel sim.*

Not a single person connected to Epstein has been jailed, besides Ghislaine Maxwell. But they want you to believe they care about the children. Demons walk among us.

This will just kill the internet.
Most of the population will just drop computers.
Also, what do you mean that I need ID to access my own files?!

Translation: they are proposing a bill that says you cannot under any circumstances use a computer for any purpose without allowing the United States government continuous monitoring and a backdoor

There's (yet another) very alarming regulatory development in the US that I think would deserve more attention in Europe as well:

Legislators are seeking to impose age verification obligations on operating system providers in a manner that threatens FOSS operating systems such as Linux distros. 1/x

“Medical institutions must educate staff that Long COVID is a disabling condition affecting up to 40% of healthcare workers who contracted and continue to contract COVID-19 while working in hospitals that have failed to control the spread of the virus and other pathogens.”

Sanofi will be making Novavax available in Canada this fall — but it’s up to the provinces or territories to order this vaccine. Send an email to your health minister and your local representative to tell them why Novavax access is essential for many people: covidsociety.ca/news/nuvaxov...

The gold standard is only as good as the gold it contains. If the trial is not conducted in a rigorous fashion or if there are changes made to the protocol as the trial is in progress this can seriously bias the interpretation of the final results.

Helpful commentary about what can go wrong with randomized controlled trials that are often touted as the “gold standard” for decision making on health interventions. For example trials assessing if N95 respirators or medical masks are equally protective or if one is more protective.

I say defunct and not removed because as of a few days ago the mailbox outside the post office which they said was to be removed March 9th is physically still there with a notice on it asking for it not to be used.
