"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?"
This sounds excellent--can't wait to read it!
Don't get me started about Bellefontaine, OH.
Nine times?
Bucknell U's political science department is searching for two VAPs for next year ('26-'27) in IR & CP, respectively. Deadline is quite soon: 30 March. Please feel free to DM me with questions! bucknell.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Extern...
A fair amount of confusion about the talking filibuster comes from nomenclature; it messes people up b/c (1) minorities filibuster; but (2) the talking filibuster is described as a *majority* tactic ("the GOP should use the talking filibuster.")
Let's straighten this out. 1/

OBBB will be a test of how the old concept of "traceability" works with such a massive wide-ranging bill that is branded as the party's agenda. Can challengers credibly forge a link between MC's one vote on OBBB and the many costs/cuts that voters are (eventually) going to notice? (2/3)
Really good overview of (1) what we know about when/how voters punish members of Congress on big votes and (2) what that might mean for the OBBB from @mattngreen.bsky.social
