So. Give someone an extra hug. Pet a dog, cause Pedro wouldn’t have. Try to say something encouraging to someone. And try to be present for those of us who are here.
We love you buddy. And we miss you.
Pedro was fun. He laughed a looooot. Loved giving everyone greeting cards. Was a deeply average dancer. Wasn’t crazy about dogs. A remarkably good listener. Caring to a fault. And literally just wanted the world to be a better place.
And maybe today we don’t think about his loss and the sorrow and the grief that followed it.
Maybe think about his life.
In his memory for those of us who knew him, his family who raised him, and everybody who loved him, we ask you to try to remember probably what was at the absolute heart of what he was trying to accomplish in the time he had left with all of us.
To help people.
Him being born on a leap day of leap year, is just one more unique and oddly remarkable things about him. Just add that to the list.
Today would’ve, kind of, sorta, been Pedro Zamora’s 54th birthday.
He was a leap year baby. So his actual birthday is on February 29th. When we were with him he joked that this necessitated celebrating his birthday on both February 28, and March 1. He was only half joking.😊❤️
