in unrelated news we must embrace georgist thought
pretty we can have this in our lifetimes if only we snuff out the spark of nimbyism in the breast of man

what a rich text this is
oh my god i didn't notice it was red
which half is a discourse topic best left untouched
dawg what the fuck
somehow when i first saw this i missed the 2 nearly identical lower case y’s and 2 nearly identical upper case V’s and 2 nearly identical upper case L’s and 2 nearly identical upper case S’s (plus a B and an Esse) and distinct double-u and double-v
everyone else just needs to give up at this point it’s not even funny anymore
absolutely fucking bonkers that i can run a windows game seamlessly on ultra graphics quality through a compat layer on an m5 macbook air, while on a merely 2 year old windows machine it gasps for air at mediocre settings and a lower screen resolution
the answer i’ve been toying with is to spread class consciousness to the coming wave of underemployed cs grads and fellow career drop outs
this clip wouldn't be worse off for a sardukar chant in the background
pumpernickel bread is really good y’all
friendship with sourdough over, my new best friend is pumpernickel
now making pumpernickel bread
my first thought was “huh that looks like film, i wonder what kind of film stock they shot that on. wait why is it on film? or else who put a filter on a digital photo of ~this~? …. *scroll*” and i didn’t take the next step either
can also add some walnut halves and pieces for further textural variety
Worried about the state of society? Have you considered withdrawing to a hermetic retreat to preserve virtue and knowledge until someone who recognizes and will make use of those traits seeks you out?
counter: plain cheerios with banana
fan fiction and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
i want off Big Yud’s wild ride
sometimes the typo knows more than you do
i just came across this because i found myself wanting arbitrary HTML in a post (to embed a little custom visualization)
and so i guess my point is if you wanna talk about EA or whatever one needn't argue "Peter is probably right about economics and therefore...", you can just skip that and say "the math very clearly says..."
let me rephrase then, i don't think you need to believe anything in particular about how humans actually act as agents (or put another way, what their utility functions look like) to point out that there are objectively unoptimal ways to behave that still look tempting or even obvious at a glance
if you want to make this more rigorous you're going to need to define what the process is that you're interested in, right now you're getting the point across but it's still kinda hand-wavy
precisely because there are absorbing boundary conditions like "agent is shut down for bad behavior" or (jokingly, kind of) "agent comes to dominate the entire future, forever"
and not commit yourself to the rest of his program
Peters is very interested in whether or not the behavior of economic agents is better modeled with an understanding of non-ergodic processes (as opposed to expected value maximization). it's interesting but if you want to talk about non-ergodic systems you can just use dynamical systems theory
