The game of Twilight Imperium I played was shorter than this, and I built an empire! Granted, I won’t play that again either, most likely, but at least that FELT like something.

I want games that build to something, not games that feel like a struggle to keep what you worked so hard for.

It took about 4 actions to get anything done. And you were always in danger of having that progress negated. It was pretty, but it is absolutely not for me.

I don’t care about the theme, and it just took too long to do anything. To feel like you did almost nothing in 6 hours is unforgivable.

Played a 4p game of Speakeasy this morning/afternoon. Took about 6 hours from setup to boxed. In a game covering 13 years, the most anyone sold booze was twice. How does that make any sense?

The span was me with $90 and the winner with over $400. Almost all my shit got burnt down in the last round.

Damn. Had to block two longtime friends because one has a shitty AI stance and the other bought Meta glasses. Ew. Pass. Sorry, but I’m not your friend if you’re a shitty person.
