Yeah I played BotW a while back. A friend let me borrow his switch for a bit. Loved it.

Took the plunge with a Switch 2. Never owned a switch before. Got the Mario Kart bundle and TotK.

What other games should I get? I’m a very passive gamer.

I remember getting on a call with a couple dozen eng to figure out how to pick up the pieces. Trending Topics was stale for days because everyone on the team was laid off and the eng that took over on-call didn’t have access to it. Those that could give her access were laid off too. Zero. Plans.

Of course this time it’s worse by many orders of magnitude.

Government Fires Specialists Without Realizing They Were in Charge of Nuclear Bombs, Then Panics and Tries to Rehire Them

Flashbacks to my time at Twitter when everyone was laid off then they scrambled to rehire so many engineers when they realized they made zero plans and impacted every core service.

At first, you panic and wonder if it’s the off-screen entity from Bird Box that drives people to death if looked at. But then, just as quickly, you feel it: a deep, primal rage. The future isn’t just coming for us; it’s coming in the shape of a post-apocalyptic wedge that was designed by someone who still owns the Entourage movie on Blu-ray. It’s the Cybertruck, and it’s here to ruin your whole day.

Employee reviews, health benefits, retirement, pay stubs, you name it, it handles it all…. and very poorly.

A well connected startup with some UX chops will rise one day and make them irrelevant. I suspect that day is closer than we think. And I can’t wait.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

It is absolutely mind blowing to me how such terrible software has embedded itself in every facet of seemingly every corporation.

I’d be hard pressed to think of a piece of software that induces as much frustration as Workday.
