That’s the most comprehensive article I have read in the emissions.
A family watching television using solar power in his house in Monrovia, Liberia (Muctarr Bah Mohamed/Easy Solar via AP) Mini-grids and standalone solar systems bring affordable and reliable power to remote communities, reducing reliance on polluting fuels and empowering women, and lifting educational opportunities for children
An example of a solar hub with battery storage bringing electricity to people who have not previously had access to electricity
Imagine buying fuel, like diesel, every week to run a noisy engine for many hours every day to generate expensive electricity, and every week you needed to go buy more fuel to burn
Or else, imagine you just collect the sunshine that falls on your roof and turn sunlight to electricity
(And no noise)
Energy security is becoming increasingly relevant.
I can’t believe that because Nazis booed at the Welcome to Country, the discussion is now about whether Welcome to Countries have a place at all and if they’re “overdone”?
Are you kidding me?!

www.reuters.com/markets/comm... #agsky. Australia beef replacing US beef.
We have a BYD Seal and rooftop solar. We charged our car before Cyclone Alfred and when we lost power, we used our car to run our fridges, internet, lamps and power of mobiles. Had enough for up to 10 days.
Such a feeling of security in a storm. Batteries next (but check house insurance).
Modifying our disc seeder. 16-27mm of rain here last night.
Dutton wants to unwind Work From Home arrangements for public servants-a blatant attack on working parents!
Like so many mums in Curtin, I’ve spent 19 years juggling kids and work.
How does WFH allow you to be a better employee and a better mum? #auspol

Kia EV5 Gav. Getting about 440km range. Bit of change of thinking required with Perth trips but nice bus to drive.
Now a member of the wheatbelt EV owner’s club. Step by step we will do our bit, decarbonise and electrify our lives. Also vehicle to load can be battery backup for the house, with blackouts way too frequent in our neck of the woods.
Renewable energy & associated downstream processing is a unique opportunity to improve
farm business resilience with a changing climate & diversify the rural economy suffering from rural decline as a result of farm scale increase & loss of services. Many Rural folk intuitively understand this.
We had a very large fire in the Corrigin region in 2022 - burnt 40000 hectares. I found myself in some very interesting situations. Watching this video took me back there.
Far out.
The merging of two small minds.
The tobacco industry play was ultimately unsuccessful.
🚨 this week the coal industry launched a dirty campaign against the independents through an ‘astroturf’ group: ‘australians for progress’.
using classic negative ad styling — complete with misinformation — billboards went up in monique ryan’s & allegra spender’s electorates.
I compared 22 identical climate-related posts on Threads vs Bluesky over the last 3 months, and the difference is shocking.
Normalized engagement on Threads dropped nearly 2/3 + my following dropped, while Bluesky engagement held steady + following quadrupled.
What’s driving this?

Some fellow farmers think I am a regen farmer because we grow summer species for the summer gap for our sheep and cattle. Literally everything else I do is full mainstream. Very wary of pigeon holing farming systems as it just creates division and used by some for this purpose, unfortunately.
Soil biology hasn’t had the required research focus & general growth in understanding we have with soil physical & chemical properties. And while there is great potential to understand and benefit from it including addressing Ag social license, is an also a great breeding ground of phony solutions.
Well said, happy new year! Let’s create a quality and more caring space! #Agsky
Soil samples boxed up and off to the lab as part of Hone’s ground truthing process for their spectroscopy infield soil carbon analyser. Could be a very handy tool in regards to monitoring the effect of management on soil carbon, as part of our registered soil carbon project.
