Every year, an estimated 11 million tons of textile waste goes into our landfills. That's equivalent to every 747 airplane ever produced!

RIT engineers are using AI, machine vision, and robotics to recycle textiles and recover high-quality materials from used clothing.

The first 15 digits of pi surrounded by images and text highlighting different numbers of pi. 3.14 miles is the distance of the inner loop around RIT campus. There are 15 million bricks. RIT has nine colleges and two degree granting institutes. RIT is ranked #6 in best graduate photography schools. RIT has five campuses. 35 years ago RIT started offering full degree programs online. RIT's radio station is 89.7 WITR. Building nine is home of the only engineering college in the U.S. named after a woman.
