Take 1 was slow paced. Take 2 was slower paced and dominated by an awesome character dynamic that was distracting. Take 3 was a huge exposition dump and I hated it. Take 4 never got off the ground. Take 5 was another big dumb exposition dump. I just wrapped take 6. Lucky #7?
Been doing more thinking and writing. Think I'm restarting this thing again. I like one of the characters WAY too much, which is a new reason to restart. Predicting issues from them though. Trying again, take 3 for this story, this year. This is, like, take 7 overall, jeez

Got a little writing done today. Wrote 700 words, realized I was bludgeoning the reader with exposition. Restarted, got another 500 out that was all character dynamics. Much better. I'll see if I can keep it up. Ready to get this thing started!

So! I thought this author retired 8 years ago! I have just discovered he returned to the internet 2 years ago under another handle. I stayed up WAY too late yesterday reading some of his new stuff. Did a lot of laughing, a lot of smiling, a little crying. I love this guy.
