As I do every year on 4/20, I will be following the Jeopardy! interview segment tonight by saying “Dream blunt rotation. Now let’s get back into the Jeopardy! round.”

Happy #NationalGuitarDay! Here's my first "real" guitar - a Fender Stratocaster, bought new in 1986 for $435. It took a beating for a decade in various NYC and NJ venues... I still have it, too
I CANT WAIT FOR MY FRIENDS TO COME TO MY TOWN AND SEE TMBG WITH ME IM SO EXCITED
I expect exciting things from Matt and whatever team he assembles, I will be rooting him on!

This would've been such an amazing movie. I had the honor to peep it sometime last year and it was very moving and exciting. Sony passed on something great BUT I hear Matt has some other news to share soon so... Something else to look forward to!
When I reposted the 7-string Flying V yesterday, somebody commented that a "7-string Gibson feels wrong". Well, here's something that feels just as wrong: a 7-string Fender Stratocaster! This is actually the first 7-string Strat*. It's got two Fishman humbuckers, a 3-way blade switch, a volume knob, and a hardtail bridge. I like its beat-up purple paint job. *Well, if you ignore the ones that Squier released in the 2000s or the Alex Gregory signature model from the 1990s that had a high A instead of a low B.

The Brian Eastwood Bender Collision looks like a Fender Precision bass that's been left in the sun too long and melted. Everything is warped and stretched. There's also a 3D element to the warping. The upper cutaway horn is actually bent away from the player. Even the headstock is curved upwards. The electronics are normal enough, but the two coils of the P-pickup are separated and askew. There's a volume and a tone control, but they look like normal off-the-shelf parts. I think they missed a trick by not making the knobs warped somehow, but that's my only gripe.

When Gibson brought back the Les Paul in 1968, they also released this bass version. It's got the same basic LP shape, but with a rounder cutaway horn. It's got two low-impedance humbucking pickups like you'd see on later models like the Personal and the Recording. They're controlled by a bolume knob, a bass knob, a treble knob, and a 3-way switch. There's also a 3-position blade switch that acts as a tone selector and a sliding on/off phase switch. This model was replaced by the Triumph in 1970.

Connie in swashbuckle-y garb, a billowing white shirt and cuffed leather gloves, wielding a blade with a wire star guard and a magic flame. Heavily inspired by a recent piece by Katie Mitroff.
