You have to be both strict & kind to yourself, like you’re parenting yourself. The balance is hard to strike but it does work. For example, say “If I sit down & write for 30 mins-1 hour, I’ll give myself [some treat].” & then I’ll bet you’ll get so into it, you’ll write for way more than that.
