I enjoyed being a bit of an influencer with my social media takeover for #RaAM17. It was such a great conference and I’m looking forward to keeping up connections made between postgrads as the postgraduate liaison

Congratulations Caroline!!!
🎉 Big news! I'm submitting my PhD thesis this September! 📝✨
It's been a wild ride of research, resilience, and way too many snacks to fuel me, and now I’m officially on the hunt for my next adventure. 🚀
Thank you 😌
Pleased to say I’ve submitted my thesis. It’s been a strange 4 years… I’ve achieved more than I thought I would whilst also being diagnosed with a disability. Excited to have some quality time off before embarking on next steps
📆We are pleased to announce that the abstract submission deadline has been extended to 15th December 2024.
We look forward to reviewing your submissions and seeing you at RaAM 17!
If you want to contribute to science but are not yet quite ready to donate your body, why not putting a team together to organise the next 2026 @raammetaphor.bsky.social RaAM Specialised Seminar or 2027 RaAM International Conference? Deadline: January 31 2025! www.raam.org.uk/conferences/...

I’m very fortunate to have a stable base in Coventry, so am looking for jobs in the West and East Midlands as well as anything hybrid/remote that’s still within an hour or so drive or train. Please share with your networks and let me know if you hear of any openings 😊
As I’m nearing thesis submission, I’m looking for postdoc research and/or teaching positions for the new year. My research interests are metaphor, corpus discourse analysis, health communication, and pregnancy discourse. I’m also interested in disability and neurodivergence due to lived experience.
