No United mid bar Bruno is able to tempo the play the way Amorim wants. Until the players are comfortable in the structure will likely see a lot of Bruno as a CM that joins the front 5.

Fair, but you don’t have another player that can tempo the play like Bruno.

When the structure is more natural to the players and especially when the CMs understand what they need to do and when they have to do it, it’s more likely that will see Bruno playing in a more advance role.

As a Sporting fan, he fits the role like a glove, especially if Amorim wants to start Mount as one of the 10s.

As a Sporting fan, I think he will get the same treatment that Edwards and Trincão had in the 1st 6 months of last season. Where the one who was performing starts and the other gets 30-25 mins of the bench.

If Bruno locks the CM roles I would be confident in Garna’s xMins, if not it’s a crapshoot.

Just for reference - The players that played the CM role that goes forward under Amorim at Sporting (Morita, Bragança and Pote) combined for 0.38 npxG and 0.27 xA per 90, this season and the season prior.

Does that hold much weight given it was with a different manager with a totally different style?

With Bruno, Mount, Rashford and Garnacho for only two spots I wouldn’t be surprised if his minutes going forward go down.

Any Sporting fan would’ve said the same thing.

Anthony can only play RWB under Amorim. He doesn’t have the decision making to play as a 10.

As a Sporting fan, all I can say is that you’ve got a really special dude in Amorim. Most of the fanbase will fall in love with him in a heartbeat.
