"Personal trauma is not a community governing principle.
"It does not give you the right to dictate what words millions of people use to describe themselves or who gets to belong to a movement you didn’t build alone.
"Your pain is yours. The community is not."
Preach.

I feel so seen.
Uh, they *are* Lorinser wheels.
Like the Lorinser that was a contemporary of Brabus and pre-merger AMG.
2k might be a stretch, but there are W124 owners that would bite your arm off for those…
Uh… don’t you mean Bordello Red?

Most people think Mercedes-Benz doesn’t do small cars.
That’s not quite true.
In 1981, they built one of the strangest city cars of its time…

Sending you love and best wishes, my Porsche-loving, and most excellent and cheffing friend :)
Congested Australian suburban car park showing densely packed vehicles including dark grey Porsche Macan EV, white Toyota Corolla, and Honda City, with mature plane trees and mixed-use buildings in background under overcast sky
Porsche's problem isn't that it makes bad EVs.
It doesn't (ish, notwithstanding the quiet clusterfuck that is the Taycan's battery and software issues).
It's that their volume EV product is so anonymous, so insanely an anti-Porsche, that even a whole box of Cialis couldn't get me excited for it.
Like with Citroens, mostly: the incorrect fluid, and poor maintenance.
The wrong fluid will absorb water, corrode pipes, and eat at the seals... not fun.
Take care of those two things and the system is stupendously reliable and robust.
Even Rolls Royce used it (under license from Citroen).
Also: so long as the system has been run on the correct (ZHM) fluid, it’s robust and reliable.
If the rear suspension is rock hard and at the correct level, it generally means that the spheres need replacing, which is trivial.
When functioning, it should just waft back there. Tis a lovely feeling
Slow grinding with the Dyson while I clean the flat.
Welcome to Saturday, y'all.
As a very serious (former) product strategist, let me tell you that this is precisely the kind of accessible halo car that Porsche desperately needs
My particular flavour of autism will have me stand at someone's front door until the second hand strikes the time I am supposed to arrive.
And then I ring the bell.
And if someone puts a meeting in for the afternoon, it's not uncommon for me to loose the morning in anticipation of it.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Quick, positive shifts at WOT from first into second.
At part throttle, shifts should be almost imperceptible.
These gearboxes are *tough*, and minor issues can often be resolved with a full flush and filter change.
They can also leak. Some leaks are easy. Others not.
Quick, positive shifts into reverse from drive.
More flex than hot Tupperwear.
Has anyone checked on the Afeela?
This is going to end poorly for everyone except folk looking for arbitrage on stock pumps.
To answer the question about how bad it is to replace harnesses on cars that need it: pretty trivial these days.
A company called Kürth Classics produces new harnesses for M111 (4-cyl), M104 (6-cyl), M119 (8-cyl), and M120 (12-cyl) engines.
When I did my first M120, it was a strand-by-strand job 🤑
Also, you'll be getting a 4-speed auto, which is about $6k for a full rebuild when the time comes.
The 5-speed is closer to 10...
Because it's a 300 TE with an M103 engine, you actually dodge the wiring loom issue.
300 E M103 (12 valve) cars will be fine.
300 E-24 M104 (24 valve) K-JET (mechanical injection) cars will be fine.
320 E / E 320 M104 (24 valve) HFM (EFI) cars will not be.
Oh, I am *so* here for this.
Also have a 300 TE, so if there are any questions I can answer, hit me up :)
And definitely before you bought a very fast Lexus with a hybrid fig leaf over its 2GR-FSE.
