Tis the season for Ostrich Fern Fiddleheads!
Boiled out the tannins, blanched and dried, bagged up two portions for freezing, and cooked me up one portion for tonight. Fried in a little oil, butter, salt and pepper.
Tastes like Okra without the slime. I really enjoy these spring time delights!
And I'm $1,325 out due to spending my cat and rent deposits so we could have another month.
