Everyone has their favourite but there’s a lot of CM upgrade options for Arsenal to explore this summer: Fernandes, Tonali, Wharton, Anderson - all PL proven, young players to replace Norgaard and add real competition / rotation to Rice and Zubi.

Chelsea 7pts off CL places and Liverpool have a game in hand. Basically curtains for their Champions League hopes. This could financially ruin their club.

Hope their fans are happy they celebrated a loss to Manchester City.

Chelsea fans were rooting for their team to lose to Man City a few weeks ago. They deserve every single bit of this. Look what happened to Spurs.

Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka haven't played together since December 2024.

Elliot I’m sure you said we’d lose to City and go on to win it last week. Now you are saying it won’t happen - I think you’re right but wondering what’s changed?

Odegaard has been injured alot this season yes, but he's now 4 goals from his last 51 league appearances (40 starts, 11 sub apps) across the last two PL seasons.

Clearly has qualities we lack in the squad, but a bit worrying a player with that output is deemed our key.

As I've said literally the point of the post is to prove our forwards have either been unavailable or poor or, the case for most, a bit of both

In 2022/23 he scored 15 PL goals so its very reasonable to expect 7 or 8 from him

I said 4 from 21 apps, so that would be about 7-8 across a whole PL season?

Definitely sell:
Norgaard, Trossard, White, Jesus, Martinelli

? depending on what we know about their fitness: Odegaard, Havertz, Calafiori

On the fence:
MLS (will manager use?)
Gyokeres (if good buyer, or keep as squad player)

Next season these are the only players I would definitely keep in the squad:

Raya; Gabriel, Saliba, Timber, Hincapie, Mosquera, Salmon; Merino, Nwaneri, Rice, Zubimendi Eze; Saka

Been so disappointed with him lately. Needs to earn it from the bench.

Some people will scream Odegaard and Havertz have to start both but unrealistic they just start every game from now given their injury issues. When we play Gyokeres we need high touch players behind him - like the suggested above.

Can’t discount 7 sub apps too, from those appearances we need at least 4

Why is Marmoush the benchmark? He isn’t supposed to be City’s captain and best player

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

Gabriel is obviously an incredible player but he’s cost us quite a few points this season with poor defending in crucial moments - City, Wolves, Sunderland…

1 day ago 0 0 2 0

Odegaard has 1 goal in 21 PL games - 14 starts and 7 sub apps

Why is that pointless for our number 10 and captain?

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

That’s 3 rotational wingers for them and a CM

Havertz is our best striker (I know injured, that’s the point)

Odegaard is our captain and number 10

Martinelli and Madueke rotational wingers but both have double the minutes of Marmoush and Savinho.

Odegaard 1 goal in 21 apps, 14 starts

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

And the point of the tweet was to couple the unavailability with the poor form to highlight our issue

1 day ago 0 0 0 0

Martinelli 1 goal in 10 starts and 17 sub apps

Odegaard 1 goal in 14 starts 7 sub apps

Madueke 2 goals in 14 starts 8 sub apps

Is that good enough for you?

1 day ago 0 0 2 0

Martinelli, Havertz, Odegaard and Madueke have a combined 5 Premier League goals this season.

That’s shocking.

Kai Havertz far from perfect but very clear he makes those around him better and if he was sharper probably scores one of the two big chances today.

He’s been fit to start FIVE PL games and most have been in midfield (because Odegaard and Eze have been out).

Those who wanted Leo sold, not given a pay rise were called stupid when he had a few good games. He’s been terrible in 2026 & those voices have gone silent.

Neither he or Martinelli are good enough but we’ve just let them stick around and this is the result.

Not ruthless.

Neither has happened.

The only way in those circumstances you can then have a chance at a title is by a sublime defence and they’ve been poor in 2026.

I think this season was a huge opportunity because City are not even great - but as I’ve said several times - we need at least one form attacker and our key players to be fit.
