I've recently started Super Mario Galaxy for the very first time, playing it using the Switch version.
What an absolutely stonking game. So much fun, with great music. I'm pretty bad at the gyro controls though!
Just reached Gusty Garden. I love this piece of music.

I thought it might undersell it - easy to boil these things down to simple terms without really doing it justice.
I'm really looking forward to trying it out.
He's a good bloke as well - does a lot of outreach, workshops, that kind of thing.
I love this guy. Randomly heard Fighting Trousers in a small pub in Exeter one day, and I've been a fan ever since.
I've seen Mr B live, but sadly haven't been able to catch the Prof live so far
Gracias!
Well, I haven't gotten much of these done yet, but since signing up to Retro Achievements I've mastered Sonic 2 at least - all chaos emeralds before the end of Emerald Hill being one of the key achievements. I'm very proud of that set.
Yes! I cannot wait to give this a watch, never thought it would see the light of day.
I've heard it was inspired by Disco Elysium? Esoteric Ebb has been high on my wishlist for a little while now, keep hearing nothing but good things. Going to have to leap in this year sometime!
Cheeky Chico! I'm glad it wasn't something with more voltage π³
Thanks to @thespaceskeleton.bsky.social for dragging me back. Been a bit distant for far too long now π«€

π A huge THANK YOU to all the collaborators for giving up their time!
Mrs Talan and I are flying out to Canada in a few days for our birthdays. To save space and weight I'm dusting off my modded 3DS.
I haven't played Chrono Trigger since 2009. With this being it's 30th anniversary, it's the perfect time to revist it. I've already got the soundtrack stuck in my head!
Definitely the Mega Drive for me. It was my first home console, and still something I revisit games on frequently.
Some examples:
I've never beaten Sonic 2 with all emeralds without save states, can you believe that?
I never finished Batman Returns as a kid, always failing at the same boss.
I'd love to do a Dark Aeons run of Final Fantasy X.
Rayman Legends, I just want to replay. I love that game.
It'll be pining for silicon valley?
Congratulations John, that's amazing!

Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Armadillos!
I'd heard that, yes. I really need to back and replay it - I beat it before they reworked the final boss and ending, and I'd like to see how they've improved it. Their original version was...not great.
I've been keeping a list of classic games I want to replay, finish or challenge myself on for a while. This month seems like an ideal time to start playing through them (even if it feels a bit like a midlife gaming crisis...)
I'm really looking forward to revisiting some old favourites.
Glad to hear you're feeling better Foxy!

Paddington in The Fantastic Four: The First Steps (2025)
I Photoshop Paddington into a movie, TV show, or pop culture until I forget: Day 1546

I would've loved to see Jodie with some better writing. I quite liked her as The Doctor.
There was an episode in this series that reused 'Sad Mad in a Box' from Matt Smith's first series. All it did was make me remember how much better the series used to be.
For all his faults, I think Steven Moffat's tenure was my favourite of NuWho. I think I need to go rewatch the good stuff.
