Lightning could easily be balanced out by being unpredictable, unreliable or hard to control for instance. Maybe it typically has limited range because of that.

I think earth is actually the easiest to mess up if you're not careful.

Now that I've figured out the "Cast" aesthetic proper, I got much better results~

Now, I'd love to draw more today and I'm probably going to, but I have puzzles to prepare.

That said, I will have to correct my previous statement; Fire CAN be a one-syllable word in the right context/dialect/accent, but to me, its two.

You have to twist the word beyond recognition to make it one syllable, though strictly speaking it's not entirely impossible. It just sounds way off.

Well, what broke me out of it was that I could hear every other sound of the scene: The audience, the mic feedback, even the tapping of Piers' foot, so when there's no voice it feels like it's "missing" rather than just not there.

"Distractingly Quiet", as stated. Though uncanny works too, I s'pose

I do mostly agree. Pokemon doesn't need voice acting. Not FULL voice acting anyways.

But there's one thing:
If they wanna do musical cutscenes or such where there's meant to be a vocalist, there probably needs to be a vocalist.

Yes, pretty much.
His theming might also have helped though. Since he was based of such a small piece of pixel art and a simple idea (Lizardman Witch Doctor), artists could be flexible with him and interpret him however they wanted.
