As a huge Traitors UK fan and an avid book reader I am excited to try Harriet’s books. www.instagram.com/harriet_tyce... #booksky #traitorsuk
The book shares how this retelling showcases how Dickens was able to interweave humour and sentimentalism into the story.

It’s amazing. My children have grown up watching A Muppets Christmas Carol! A friend gave me this book last year and I am only just reading it now. Amazing to learn about how it came about.
The original art work was competed by John Leech. An illustrator Dickens had been wanting to work with. www.charlesdickensillustration.org/a-christmas-...

I never knew that Dickens was so convinced about the value of A Christmas Carol that he effectively self published. #booksky @dickenssociety.bsky.social #achristmascarol #christmasreads

Not really Christmas related but never knew, or even thought to look up what the W and H meant!
It’s been a while since I posted. @blueskybooks.bsky.social here’s my first Christmas read for the holiday. @dickenssociety.bsky.social fascinated to learn more about how A Christmas Carol changed the secular world of Christmas.
Holiday reading - trying to get outside every day to read. This is my book club’s choice, and it is fascinating; there is so much I didn’t know @blueskybooks.bsky.social
The people who have read the observed article about Raynor Winn, and here is her rebuttal. www.raynorwinn.co.uk
The book has inspired me to get back outside and enjoy nature more. First trip out; 430 metre gain but wow! It was worth it to feel amazing in the outdoors gain.
Having thoroughly enjoyed The Salt Path by Raynor Winn I’m now starting The Wild Silence. It seems fitting to be reading it with the backdrop of Vancouver Island, as I take a ferry to go and see a good friend @blueskybooks.bsky.social
Each time I read the book, it will remind me of my own youth, completing university in Plymouth and learning the trade of teaching in various schools in Devon and Cornwall. I’m going to pause and find maps and remember my time at each of the places. @blueskybooks.bsky.social
Committed to having a calmer breakfast, I will sit each morning have my break and with my coffee read before I go to work. @blueskyreadersclub.bsky.social @raynorwinn.bsky.social

📚day 6: book that broke your heart. The time traveller’s Wife. I thought that she spent her entire life waiting for that one more moment together heartbreaking because of everything she missed in between.
#relaxing #outdoors the power of this waterfall was immense. Never seen it this full before. #shannonfalls
Each book I read, I intend to create a bookmark with a quote that deeply resonates with me. Here’s an extraordinary quote from Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. #sunriseonthereaping #blueskybooks #bookmarks #bookmarkquotes #canva

📚day 4: book you remember from your childhood. We had all the Beano annuals each year as who grew up. It was a Christmas present to us all. #blueskybooks #readers
May the odds be ever in your favour. Excited to get started on this book #sunriseonthereaping
Ahhh, books. The only thing I turn to when I can't afford any therapy.
This article sure summarizes it. 📚💕 #booksky #wednesdaythought #bookworm www.cnn.com/2025/03/24/h...

📚day 3: book you did not finish. I’ve tried a couple of times and once again after I saw the movie and still, I cannot get through this book.

📚day 2: favourite book from your favourite author. This was my first post Covid read that was set during Covid and I loved the characters and the exploration of the madness of crowds. #louisepenny #blueskybooks
Always love seeing new words. www.dictionary.com/browse/trust...
I found it was much truer to the books and enjoyed it much more.
